I picked up a box of these to use with the little stoves, and I was told they can make good fire starters. I plan to try them out for cooking and see if they are easy fire starters or not. I think these are probably good things to have on hand and maybe even a few in the glove box.

This is a box-full (46pcs) of Hexamine tablets, 15g each, at this quantity, about 2/3rds the price of 14g Esbit tablets. Subjectively, these seem to smell (like shrimp) less than do the Esbit tabs, whether that is the composition of the tabs or the seal of the packaging is unclear; Godora tabs are sealed in cellophane while Esbit tabs are sealed in plastic cavities and covered by a metallic film.Now the Godora tabs are cylindrical, while the Esbit (and a couple another brands) are rectangular; so Godora tabs don't fit into the rectangular well of some stoves that are designed to fit Esbit. Coghlan's Hexamine tabs are also cylindrical, but only about 6g each, and so small enough to fit the well in any Esbit stove (it's best that the tabs sit flat for the best flame source to pot bottom distance).These Godora function as well as the Esbit and other brand of Hexamine of similar weight.

Large 15g tablets. Actual weight range from 14. 3g to 14.9g. Same chemistry as any hexamine dry fuel. Burns at around 1300 degrees F. Does NOT melt or run. Burns completely. Works in anything that requires this type of fuel. Packaged loosely in box and may arrive broken but will work even when ground up. Just bunch the pieces together and they work perfectly. I use this dry fuel for my model steam engines, emergency cooking and camping. If they don't fit, just break em up and make em fit. Very little odor while burning, but; blow them out and they do emit a smell. Very happy with the cost and function of these hexamine dry fuel tablets. As good or better than any brand.

I just burned one of these and timed it against a esbit, heated without a cover. Yeah some of mine came broken but I just placed the broken pieces on top. Excellent customer service will buy again

Works as good as Esbit tabs, but they aren't sealed well and darken over time and emit a foul odor, keeping them sealed up in something else helps. Even the darker ones still seem to burn well; no complaints so far.

19 tablets were broken into multiple parts. They still burn fine. They do burn up faster when broken. Just not the same as whole tablets.Seller contracted me about having so many broken tabs. Seller offered to refund or replace at my discretion. I asked for 19 tabs to replace the broken ones. A new complete box showed up in a couple of days. Beyond expectations. 5 stares for service.

Smell is so bad I can’t pack it with anything for fear everything will stink. Will have to store them in a ziplock baggie in the garage.
