The pump does not work.. also you have to extend the extension feeder pipe underneath.. So it will stick to bottom of tray.. Not happy at all. I should have read the reviews

I would give this a 5 out of 10, several reasons, the directions that came with it said plug this into this and this into this, there are no plugs at all on this unit, oviously these are the wrong directions, it definitely needs to be in the direct harsh sunlight, if any clouds at all cover the sun, or unit is in the shade, it stops working, or barely pump water, a solar cell on a long cable might be a better option, p.s. added after using, has 3 tiny suction to hold it to the bottom, they do not adhere to the bottom at all, so it gives way and tills sideways, pumping the water out of the tray, good idea but not functional, I have multiple hummingbird at my feeder close by, not one hummingbird has demonstrated any interests in the bath and water, so buyer do your homework

When it works, it’s a very nice bird bath. However the little stick that shoots water out is not permanently connected so if you loose it; doesn’t work the same again.

The media could not be loaded. This is a replacement. I thought the first one had a bad pump, but the problem is the weak solar cells. If one of the cells is more than half shadowed, the pump stops working. I covered one cell with the shadow from my finger and it shut off. When I reassembled it and it was still not working I noticed the fountain attachment was casting a shadow over a cell. So in the morning and the evening the fountain casts a shadow over one of the cells, turning itself off. And if the day is partly cloudy, it doesn't work at all.

Due to the design and curvature of the bird bath the pump will not reach the bottom to use the suction cups. Another issue is the sun has to be hitting the bird bath directly and bright for the fountain to do more than just dribble out. When the fountain actually does work, you lose most of your water because it is floating near the edges instead of being suctioned at the bottom middle of the bath.

The suction cups don't secure the circular solar panels. Assembly instructions are not included, but going to YouTube helped. The solar panels must be in direct sunlight in order for the fountain to function. The water bowl and assembly bracket are of excellent quality, it's just the pump and solar panels I had to struggle with to figure out how to assemble.

It was a waste of money. The suction is not good and the fountain only works when the sun is directly over it. So the hottest point of the day when no birds want in it.
