Heavy duty sight glass

I got this to attach to my fermenter with 1.5" fittings. It fits perfectly. The glass is very thick and comes with two seals: a flat seal for the face and the TC gasket for mating to another TC fitting. There is NO retainer for the glass which means you have to be VERY careful when removing as the glass puck can just fall out. The glass is very optically clear. If you drop the glass puck, it will chip. It would be nice if there was a clip to retain it so you can remove it for sanitary cleaning without being scared of removing it while wearing chemical resistant gloves. I would expect this for operating in pharmaceutical or chemical processing.

Chipped glass

Ordered one. It showed up with a big chip in the glass. Returned it for a replacement. Next one showed up with a big chip in the same spot in the glass.
