Ball jars are wonderful! I do a lot of fermentation. It likes to be done in less light. Having a tinted glass jar really helps the fermentation process.

Going to use this to store organic nuts. Expensive but worth it. Will purchase more in a multipack. Many options for use, functions well. Nice size, not too small and not too large. Besides the protection from light, love the amber color. Ball brand is made in USA. No chips on rim and this should seal well. using aftermarket stainless steel lid.

Always get Ball canning jars... Chinese ones paint inside to look tinted

The jars are great. I don't care that they don't have lids. My problem is with the packaging. I've ordered 2 of these twice. The first order was packed well with no issues. The second order had no cushioning at all and I could hear the jars clinking together before even opening the box. They were not damaged but it bothered me that they couldn't of even placed some crumpled up paper in between the jars. Please...

I will be returning…. Typically it’s a package of 4 jars. The order delivery showed 1 jar! Over $21 for a single 1 litre mason jar is insanely expensive. Not happy.
