Good price, better video quality compared to the DVD collection.
Great for price, great video quality very good compared to the DVD collection which I also have. They cleaned up some of the problems with the video in first movie. It's nice add to A Nightmare on Elm Street collection.

The original 7 Nightmare movies.
I decided to buy the Blu-ray films and get rid of my DVDs. What I really love is that it comes with tons of extras. Every movie has great picture and audio. Each movie, is packed with extra content: Music videos, talking with the cast and directors, looking back, and so on. My favorite films are the first, third, fourth and New Nightmare. But it's great getting all the original movies.Blu-rays can last a long time. Longer than DVD's because they're durable and better scratch resistant. DVDs can get scratched easily. The collection comes in a slim Blu-ray case and fits easily in your movie collection.

The stuff nightmares are made of
The media could not be loaded. The best budget horror collection on blu ray considering 4-7 are pay walled behind this set. The best way to watch this set for now as they just announced the 4k remaster for the first movie.A few nitpicks include they used the "Freddy vs Jason" version for part 3. Part 5 does not include the unrated director's cut and Freddy's Dead doesn't include the 3-D version (at least the Friday the 13th deluxe editions made an attempt). Go ahead and add this to your collection. Some good things include not having to shell out $100+ like the Halloween collection and buggy audio tracks like Friday the 13th that require your player to update every other month to play.

Better Picture Quality Than The DVD’s!
I already own the New Line Platinum Series DVD collection which is an awesome boxed set. It’s too bad this Blu Ray collection didn’t get the same treatment. I bought this Blu Ray collection because I wanted to have the films in HD. A few reviewers stated that the Blu Ray transfers weren’t any better than the DVD’s. I’m here to tell you this is not true. The Blu Ray transfers are way better than the picture quality of the DVD’s. I compared them both side by side and there is a considerable difference in picture quality! The Blu Ray’s in this set are much sharper and the colors are more natural. Bottom line is, this is the best we’re going to get until Scream Factory or some other boutique label such as Arrow or Vinegar Syndrome etc put out a boxed set that this franchise is worthy of. However, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon?
