Its not safe for a motorcycleThe rubber grips come out of the metal..when installed ..it very little ease....so could only imagine at 60mph highway speeds and hit a rough spot in road.....i mean the grips keep you on the bike.......i never do these reviews....but i think this could save alot of injuries.......spend a little more and get a more solid built grip

Product description says "aluminum" and therefore rust free. I just received these and haven't tried putting them on because I'm disappointed with the quality. I purposely didn't buy the $20 grips because I wanted all metal and trusted the advertising. I don't know what I'm going to do, keep or return, because I am in the middle of swapping my bars and I kept the stock grips for reuse. I was happy with the fast delivery though. I'm also concerned about the throttle connection that isn't grooved to keep the wire in line. Do I have to file out a groove?

So you need to buy the glue for it so it will not slide on your throttle handlebar. I really like these grips for our Yamaha's. They are very comfortable and I really like the built in throttle assist. I noticed the negative reviews are the same ones on other handlebar grips so I just picked one that looked good and you will not be disappointed in these. We bought them for 2 different bikes. My husband liked mine so got him a pair. both Yamaha V stars.

I have a 2006 HD Dyna Wide Glide and these would not fit on them with out modifying them, and it would still be sketchy at best. I would rather error on the safe side, especially on handle bar grips so I returned them for a full refund.As others have reported in their review. On the throttle side, make sure you glue the grip onto the sleeve as it doesnt take much force for it to freely spin.
