We bought this on a whim thinking our cat might like this but at the same time wanted something to give our house more life.We didn't read the instructions at first and it was super easy if you know how planting stuff works, soil on the bottom, put the seeds in after watering the soil, put a thin layer of soil on top of the seeds and just lightly wet the top.when we did read the instruction they were very clear and easy to understand.after just one day we seen progress! the seeds sprouted and were growing fast!we put it in the sunlight and just after 3 days in the window it was like 80% grown so we dicided to let our cat try it.our cat loved the grass and was eating all of it! we had to force him to stop eating it because we were scared he might get sick but he was fine and just kept eating it.and after he ate all the grass we just gave it a little bit of water and it kept growing and looked great as a decoration.great quality porcelain and wooden stand for it as well.very recommended if you want to give your cat a nice and healthy treat and also making your house look good.only con we had was how sturdy and heavy the porcelain was and that's not even a con haha.even if you are terrible with indoor plants and think you don't have a green thumb this cat grass kit will make you feel like you can grow anything.let your green thumb thrive!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My Cat loves this cat grass, after it grew my cat would munch on it daily until it was all gone. I like how the kit is made it’s easy to prepare and cats love it.

This is great. Easy directions and grew quickly. Priced a bit high I think for the quantity of supplies but it is nice and the planter should last awhile. Only wish there was a drain hole and more soil & seed for the price.

I recently purchased the cat grass growing kit, overall, I'm really happy with it. The planter is a nice touch and the grass grew quickly when covered with plastic wrap and looked great. The only downside was that the grass eventually died and I quickly learned that keeping cat grass alive is totally different than keeping a plant alive. Luckily it was easy to buy more and get my cat's favorite treat back in action. Overall, I recommend this product to any cat owners looking for a fun and healthy treat that doubles as entertainment! :)

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND…I had been looking forward to receiving this Organic Cat Growing Kit & was previously excited to plant the seeds to grow for my cat. So I opened the box as soon as it was delivered. Unfortunately I found that the ceramic planter was completely broken in half in the box. I contacted Amazon immediately after it was delivered and told them the ceramic planter was broken in half. Amazon told me that I could either return it for a refund or they could send me a replacement. I chose the replacement. Amazon said that once I received the replacement, I would then need to return the broken ceramic planter.I still have not received anything as a replacement. And of course NOW it’s too late to request the refund. So I have been unable to use this product. Due to all of this I would give it a 0 rating if I could. I am very disappointed with this product and with Amazon as well. I feel certain that I am not the only customer that has had this issue. Which makes it even more disappointing that I have not heard back. SADLY - I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.Additional note: I also purchased a different type of seeds with a plastic container from a different company at that same time. The plastic container was not attractive. But the instructions were easy to follow, and the seeds were easy to plant; It grew quickly & was thick - just as the description stated. However my cat would not eat the other grass for some reason. Which made it even more unfortunate that I couldn’t use the original Organic Cat Grass Kit that I ordered.

I can’t believe this is so expensive- while the grass grows and it looks nice, just go to your garden center or even marshalls and get a similar pot for <$10. The planter it comes with broke when my cat got too excited and knocked it over. Also no drainage hole (!!) so flies started appearing everywhere.Grass seeds can be bought in bulk, there are several types of grass your cat can eat.

I've tried several versions of kitty grass, including pre-sprouted grass in the grocery store (which was better than the kits I tried), but none of them worked as well as this one is working.The soil comes in three small highly compressed disks, which you unwrap and then place in the bottom of the simple but elegant white planter, then sprinkle seeds over, add a bit more water and cover with a bit more dirt.The dirt overflowed the container a bit as it expanded enthusiastically, but not enough to be much of a bother. The seeds sprouted in a couple of days.The best part about this planter is my cats can chew on the grass and pull on it without pulling the grass all the way out (the roots are better anchored, for some reason). I used to have to secure lightweight plastic containers to something heavy in an effort to keep the cats from bringing up dirt (and the container!) with the blades of grass. That's not a problem here.The blades of grass are a bit wider than I've seen on other kits, as well, which means that my cats get to the "that's enough" stage faster.Having this grass available keeps them from chewing on house plants and they seem very content with the grass and how convenient it is to get what they need.
