These work perfectly as bow lines for carrying my kayaks on top of my SUV in J Cradles. Very easy and obvious how to use them. No instructions needed. I use them with the Kapmoz Quick Hood Loops I also purchased on Amazon. I'm going to buy another set for stern lines.

I am not using this for it's intended purpose of securing kayaks, but will use it to secure a projector screen frame I made to use outside. For the purpose of hanging this frame, this ratchet set is perfect. I can make the rope as tight or loose as I would like and the hooks give me many options of securing it to something. In all honesty, I was not expecting this set to be as sturdy as it is. The quality is top-notch, with the actual ratchet making a very secure-sounding click as you tighten the rope. With the push of a button, tension is released. I can think of a million uses for this little set, from a clothesline to a sporting situation, it is a great gadget to have around a house or boat. Great design, functionality and price!

I put my 11.5' kayak on my Toyota Sequoia and immediately realized I was only going to be able to secure it at one point on my car as opposed to the two I had been hoping for. Instead of being able to loop the rope through a point on my kayak and then tie it down to two points on my car I had to attach one end to my kayak and the other to my car which for me wasn't ideal. That being said I gave it 4 stars because it still did the job and was very easy to use. It just makes me nervous to have it tied down in this manner.

I ordered a set of four of these in 2017. I don't think I ever ended up using them for the kayak stowage function they are advertised for, but I did use them for camping. They are FREAKING AWESOME for making a "taut line" to for above your hammock (or rain fly, net, etc.) or guy lines for a tarp, rain fly or other such purposes. They are so awesome that I just ordered 8 more, which arrived yesterday. Highly recommended for this purpose. Way faster and easier than messing around with other hardware for making taut lines (figure 9s, etc.). They ARE bulky - so great for car camping, but less so for motorcycle camping or backpacking. In those instances, I would still bring one, for my "main line" though. They're just so easy and fast to use! In my attached photo, this product us keeping the line between my tent and the tree to the far left tight.

Works great, easy tight and release

These were an add on item when I purchased kayak racks and I'm so glad I got them! Good quality rope and the hooks and ratchet are super easy and smooth. This is going to work way better for tying down kayaks, canoe, etc ...without the clunky ratchet straps we used to use for the ends to the trunk and hood of vehicle. Recommend these for anyone who needs to tie down kayaks, canoe, etc...to a bumper or with special tie down accessories.

These were so nice and easy to use (I use mine for kayaks) that I bought another set! I could go much faster and be much more sturdy for strapping my kayak down compared to my boyfriend who is a lot taller and stronger than me! Only because the straps are so nice! I use my weight to pull the tight and they work so well and so easily! Love them! (The second set is for him to use or me when he’s gone since I refuse to use the old straps!)

So much easier than those rachet straps. these are easy to use and work great as the front and back tiedowns on my Honda Pilot for my kayaks. Highly recommend.

A fellow camper was using these ratchets to secure his annex & they were purchased from Amazon. So now I have a set too for our next camping trip. They are exactly as described and arrived in record time. Perfect !

I used these to tie down my kayak, works great very simple! I bought a kayak hoist and these work great holding the front and rear ends from slipping. Great to hold the truck if you need more space. Also used on roof rack! Well made rope
