Need to change wiring as does not plug and play, make sure you make sure that it will work with your machine

I returned it. Got discouraged with the lack of information, things like software setting changes etc

To get my unit to work without the motor stalling, I had to install bearings and shims on the idler rollers, and had to machine custom spacers to go between the bearings. 5x8 RC car bearings fit but wont work without proper spacers and shims. The pulleys on the rollers are too small (20T) - I swapped mine out with 40T pulleys and a longer belt. Without the bearings, its too sloppy when you loosen the belt enough to keep it from stalling. I purchased this roller. Out of the box looked robust and well made, but I got so busy that it took me two months to use it. Here is the problem, first, FoxAlien does not supply the extra cable to connect to the engraver. You have to use the same Y cable of the engraver to connect the roller. The problem is that FoxAlien places the Y cable through the arm of the engraver; therefore, to use the roller, you have to remove it, which was a pain (had to use a wire to put it back)Second, it took me hours of trial and error to make it work with Lightburn. The owner's manual gives you no clue how to set it up. And finally, when I finally had it connected, the motor was slipping (yes, like a bad transmission). The roller could detect the software, but the motor skipped after 2 seconds of engaging. Luckily, Amazon customer service understood my problems and refunded my money.I still believe in the brand and quality of the product. I just had bad luck with the exceptional faulty one.

So i bought this, knowing full well it wasn't designed to run on my 3018 pro cnc machine, so after replacing the servo with a NEMA 17 model ($8 on amazon) this worked right off the bat. Had some issues working out the rotation, but that's to be expected, for the record the command line is $101, and i set mine at 48, so $101=48 in console.I knew right off i'd have to modify this to work my machine, which i accounted for, but i will say it's a very well designed unit, that's not hard to make fit, and easy to change for different items, and all in all apart from servo needing to be swapped, worked right off the bat. Not Saying the servo that comes with it is bad, it's just not compatible with my machine, which i knew would most likely be a issue.All in all, great value for money.
