The One Year Love Talk Devotional for Couples (One Year Signature)

The Parrots are amazing in the depth of knowledge they have for married couples. Each day they touch on a different topic to probe to see if this is an area of growth for a married couple. My wife and I have been married for 18 years and we found this devotional both inspirational as well as educational for us. I highly recommend this devotional for any married couple.

My wife and I bought this rather quickly after we got married. We loved the Parrott's "Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts" requested to us by our Pastor during pre-marital counseling. The great advice and comfortable ways to enter into sometimes hard discussions continues in daily doses.The authors have funny stories, hard stories, true stories, and more things that are good to think about. What's best, is perhaps the fact that they initiate conversations between you and your spouse that you want to have but needed a third-party (like the Parrotts) to initiate.I'm looking forward to picking up this book in a few years to go through it with my wife again.A pastor myself, this is a must-give to every family I marry, and even is usually part of the gift my wife and I give to weddings we attend.

Seems like a nice book. Not at all happy that I had to wait a complete month to receive and item that was in stock! Not happy.

We have been married for 28 years. Our marriage almost ended a year and a half ago and when we decided to try to stick it out one of the commitments we made was to spend daily time together. I chose this book and in all of that time we have missed 3 days of reading it together. My husband works in Alaska so we Skype every night that he's gone and spend time reading, discussing and praying about that day's devotion. This time together saved our marriage. The daily devotions are short and cover a wide variety of topics, both specific to marriage and general to living out our faith. (We read through part of it the balance of the first year, then the whole thing this year. I am on here now researching another comparable book for 2017.) We also bought it for our son and daughter-in-law who were married in June.

Excellent devotional for MARRIED couples who are Christian.

To be fair we're only 2 months in, but I think it's great and does a good job. There are a few that we really had to think about and discuss and others where we do not feel we need to work on it anymore than we do -- those are nice because it is a nice reminder to you and your spouse of what a good marriage practice is and you can pat each other on the back for already having achieved it. I find it really thorough and inspirational. I like that they use real life examples but apply it to the bible verse for each day. They are not long and we take turns reading them to each other every night. Would definitely recommend this book to married couples and couples who are thinking of marriage.
