Great price and it works as expected.
I have three strand poly rope 5/8" and this works great! Gives clean cut. Works as expected. Only had it two weeks but no issues so far. When ready to cut I hold trigger 30 seconds or so and it cuts through easily.

Good tool, good price
It exceeded my expectations. Comparatively speaking, it was the least expensive product, but it did the job remarkably well. It's also more portable than the others. Good tool, good price.

... for a minute and then had to let it cool off for 4 minutes
The only drawback I discovered with this was that you could only keep it on for a minute and then had to let it cool off for 4 minutes. That was not mentioned in the sales pitch or specs. At first I thought that was going to be a pain, but by pre-marking all the lengths I needed I found that to be not as detrimental as I initially imagined. And when you're busy organizing all the lengths you just cut, 4 minutes passes quickly. The cuts are clean and seal the material wonderfully. I was using 3/4" wide strapping and have no complaints at all about how it works. For the price, this is well worth it.

Unit is already in the trash.
Assembly came with broken pieces floating around inside the unit and once plugged in only worked for approx one hour before completely melting down and failing. Already looking for another rope cutter.

A little finicky
I’ve had some issues with this. Occasionally it will not heat up. And I have to unplug it between cuts. One time it just stopped working mid cut and got stuck in the rope. The blade doesn’t last long at all. I bent mine in half in the first week of owning and it gets very goopy. But I’m sure the latter is unavoidable.I do make a ton of cuts with this daily. Like up to 75 probably. So that may be why it’s a little finicky but I do not like that I have to constantly unplug and plug

Coming to the End of Your Rope?
This rope cutting gun has exceeded my expectations. When the trigger is pulled, the tip heats in seconds and easily cuts through synthetic rope like a hot knife through butter. The advantage to this gun version of cutter is its portability. This gun should appeal especially to boaters, Boy and Girl Scout leaders, and mountain climbers. I was thoroughly pleased with the gun's quality, the packaging, ease of ordering, and prompt delivery by eAngler.

Perfect product and fast shipping
This has helped me burn lots of horse lead ropes in half to make dog leads. Burns through with ease. I love this product. Would definitely buy again
