Tyrant of the Hollow Worlds (Space Marine Battles) Paperback – June 6, 2017

Another interesting 40K story. I am a bit of an old die hard fan of 40 and the Space Marine Battles is a great series of books.

Good read for any 40K fan.

Vivid and innovative take on 40k. The writing is fresh, presenting a look at the world that feels a lot more sci-fi and space-opera than a lot of BL fare.I like the normal BL stuff, of course, but this a refreshing change of tack, with some utterly tremendous sequences, characters, setting, prose, and ideas at play.

Huron and his corsairs try to take an imperial star system by force, looking for some artifact.Very predictable story, all battles and plots end up without surprises.We follow Captain Rotaka and his squad on the corsairs side, and an Inquisitor and some Space Wolfs on the other.The story drags out very much in the end....and it feels like the author forgot at times what he was originally writing about.Ended up "cross reading" the last 100 pages or so, and the end is very unsatisfying, to say the least.The worst book of 40k in a long time, close second to "damnation of pythos".Some side plot with some minor important charakters the 40K universe could have done without.

Great book. Nice to see a focus on another faction in the 40k universe from time to time.
