Honestly I have no idea how this works. I'm not a believer in essential oils to cure ailments and when I bought this, I expected it to be completely useless. But I have really horrific chronic migraines and I'm also currently pregnant. I can't take any of the prescription meds I typically rely on to keep them at bay.This little roll on works SO WELL. I rub it on my forehead, temples, and/or back of the neck and my headache dulls almost immediately. It never fully vanishes, but it becomes much more manageable and tolerable. The oils have a cooling sensation that feels really nice on the skin and the smell is pleasant.I suppose I feel the success I'm having with this roll on is either a placebo or something to do with aromatherapy, but whatever it is, I have ordered a couple more to keep around the office and in my purse. I highly recommend this product.

Figured I’d try this product since it had so many positive reviews and my headaches continue to happen and migraine medicine (ibuprofen, Tylenol migraine, etc) not doing the trick (and I don’t really like taking medicine if I don’t absolutely have to). Even with the reviews, I was not expecting too much. The headaches are something that started happening for me a few years ago and they’ve increased in the number of headaches, and their pain, depending on how stressed I am and also if I’ve been drinking water (that has a big effect on me). So…. I’ve tried several remedies like the standard ibuprofen, Tylenol migraine, advil migraine, caffeine, hydration packs, sleeping it off, etc. and it just has been so miserable to not be able to go many days without a headache and then also not having anything that actually took my headache away. Gosh, I feel for people who deal with this on a more intense level because it’s debilitating. Anyhoo, I ordered this after it was recommended by Amazon the other day and I figured with the number of reviews and high rating and reasonable price tag, it was worth a shot. Ordered it for me and my significant other who has even worse headaches. Started using it a couple days ago and have been astounded by its effectiveness. Just ordered another stick so we each have one. I realize that we have not been using it for very long and so I will try to update my review if it stops being useful but this really has provided so much relief and I highly encourage others dealing with headaches to at least give this a try. I even enjoy putting it on just because it smells good and relaxes me. Our daughter (9YO) also loves the smell of it and rolled a bit on and loved the feeling. I like to roll it literally all over my skull (through my hair, I know, I’m a weirdo but that’s where I feel the pain the most and holy crack it feels like the peppermint and cooking sensation sucks the headache from my skull! I sound crazy 😂) and I also think rolling it onto my neck, a bit on the top of shoulders near neck, behind ears, and temples makes it extra effective for me. Great experience!

Works but not as effective as I was hoping. After reading thru several reviews and an article about this product I decided to purchase it. I tried on th back of my neck first to see if it would work there. It got rid of my headache, but when trying with a migraine it only temporarily reduced the pain. I was concerned about using on my temples and forehead because of some of the reviews, but decided to try it anyway. After about 15 minutes my eyes did start to burn a little. I don't believe the oil actually went into my eyes but the vapors from the peppermint oil did. The oil did help a bit more with my migraines on my temples but still did not completely mitigate them. Given the stinging in my eyes in addition to the pain of my migraines I stopped using it on my temples. I recommend this prduct as a temporary relief while waiting for your migraine meds to kick in not as a replacement to medication. I would also recommend this for minor headaches and only back of neck application.

It is simple, and small, making it a convenient remedy for migraines/headaches. Although the tingle of the mint feels cooling and nice, at times it bothers my eyes. I am undecided as far as how well this product actually works to relieve headaches or migraines. I felt some relief with one use, but no relief with another, so it is hard to say. I guess I would say it doesn’t necessarily offer complete or instant relief (which I expected) but perhaps partial. I would like to say it may help with other symptoms of migraine, like nausea, but at the time I didn’t think that far into it. I’ll keep trying it and try to consider other aspects of migraine relief. The cool minty-ness is strong, so that can be relaxing though.

All the migraine suffers in my office love this stuff. It is amazing. It works best the quicker you use it (as with any migraine treatment) after symptoms begin.The directions say to apply to the back of the neck and temples. The back of the neck feels great - kind of like any of the menthol sports rubs. Be careful not to apply too much to the temples or the mint can get in your eyes.For me, the scent is not an issue. It smells like spearmint. I am extremely sensitive to anything that smells with asthma, VCD, or migraine reactions. Mint and citrus are the only things that I can depend on not triggering some type of reaction. That being said, I gave this this a moderate scent rating because it has a scent. I do know of people who are sensitive to mint and lavendar that could be triggered by this product. My daughter may get migraines from it, but it also helps relieve her migraines at the same time.I also use this to mask odors and fragrances that trigger reactions for me. I roll a small amount onto the back of my hand and dab it under my nose. Do not use too much or put it in your nose unless you want your nose to feel like if is on fire.Updating - Just bought two new vials (one for my desk and one for my purse). I still love this stuff after years of use. They have up graded the roller ball from plastic to stainless steel. I love it even more!
