Self-Employed: 50 Signs That You Might Be An Entrepreneur

The information in this book is common knowledge and written up in an infinite number of articles. I don't understand the ratings people give sometimes because I bought this based on good reviews. Seriously, I should have known better. 50 signs you MIGHT be an entrepreneur? And there's 50 of them? Not very research based. Not very specific. And most of all, not very helpful. Seriously, save your money and just google "Signs that I maybe, possibly, could conceivably be an entrepreneur written by anyone who has a general opinion on this matter" and you'll get just as much value without spending a penny.

Times are changing, quickly. This book puts you at the front of the freelance/self-employment revolution. I liked this book because it's fast action help and advice. It's not drawn out like most books these days. It's only the stuff you need, and the authors make it so easy to understand the principals. This book has powerful advice. I'm an entrepreneur, and this book is exactly what you need to hear.

Good read for really anybody interested in being an entrepreneur. John and Joel did a great job of incorporating some great advice and making it fun to read. Highly recommend!

The book was longer than it needed be. A second read by an editor would have been a good use of time.

As one of those honored to receive an advance copy of this book, I thoroughly enjoyed yet another Joel Comm foray into the book authoring world. After all, he seems to hit the ball out of the park with whatever he decides to do. This book, written with his co-author John Rampton is a winner.In my humble opinion the timing is quite perfect, especially for those following what is happening in the high-tech world of AI or Artificial Intelligence. Robotics is a technology looming on the horizon that experts are saying will replace people in nearly every career field. From the fast food Industry to Stock Traders, many jobs as we know them will be lost by living, breathing humans to pieces of technology. We humans will either be replaced or find out if we don't learn the techie skills to be back-up data miners to support the Robotics doing what used to be our jobs, we will be obsolete!Instead of sitting around being frightened at the prospect of being unemployed, I suggest you read this book. Instead of immediately thinking there's no way you are or could be an Entrepreneur, open your mind and you just might find yourself imagining, then creating a whole, new life as your own Boss!It looks like the future will belong to the Entrepreneur. What some have thought of as a Hobby and a little extra money each month may turn into a great opportunity. Work it part-time until you're making full-time money or earning even more than you ever thought possible. I had the honor of reading an advance copy of this book and feel compelled to write an honest review based on what I read, not the fact it was an advance copy.I am often asked why I transitioned from a successful law practice to owning a digital marketing agency. For me, the answer is both complex and easy. Suffice it to say, I knew I needed to be doing something else. Something I loved. Something I was convinced was a good idea.Though I believe I have many of the 50 signs the authors describe (some people definitely think I'm nuts), I certainly don't have all 50. But all 50 signs are spot-on. I see these signs in other entrepreneurs I know and I saw these signs demonstrated in the examples Joel and John used in the book.The beauty of "Self-Employed - 50 Signs You Might Be An Entrepreneur" is that it is based on reality. This isn't a book based on the authors' reading a textbook. It's based on their own personal observations, experience and the experience of many other entrepreneurs. It's the real-life examples of work Joel and John and the entrepreneurs they spotlight have done that make this book a must-read for every entrepreneur or entrepreneur wannabe.Really a tremendous, insightful look at the life and world of an entrepreneur!
