HOBO Vintage Lorna Cross-Body Handbag

I rated it 4 stars because even though I love the purse and the size of the purse, the zipper seems to have a bit of a problem when trying to close it. It opens fine, but when I try and close it, it sometimes gets "hung up" in various places, so very rarely closes with one pull of the zipper. I would have liked a zipper opening inside the purse too, but I can deal with that since it has so many pockets, but the zipper problem is somewhat frustrating.

I am giving the HOBO Vintage Lorna Cross-Body bag 5+ stars! Owning a cross-body bag is new for me. I have always used satchels and backpacks, sometimes totes. I now have RSD/CRPS and it is extremely painful and uncomfortable to carry the vast majority of my purse collection, consisting of D&B, Maxx, Fossil...really nice, quality purses. Necessity demands a cross-body purse now.I purchased the HOBO Vintage Nancy wallet back in February. I will not rewrite my whole review. I will just say that my 20+ year search for the perfect wallet ended. I decided to search the HOBO line to find a matching purse that would be functional yet stylish. I saw many that fit my needs. I decided on this one, the Vintage Lorna. It appeared to be the same soft, smooth leather as my wallet. The dimensions fit what I needed size wise. And I read the reviews over and over. I really needed to be able to get in and out of this bag with my right hand since my left is affected by RSD/CRPS. I can't do small zippers, little snaps (that don't stay snapped), tricky clasps, etc.As soon as I opened the box and held the leather I could tell it was the feel I was hoping for. The purse is soft, smooth and very light. I am 5'8" and could slide the bag on right away, without adjusting the strap that was set in the middle. I was able to handle the zip pull, on the front side, easily. I zipped and unzipped several times, using only my right hand. The smooth, easy gliding zipper is a plus! The inside is fully lined with a beautiful, sturdy, rose fabric. Inside the front zippered section of the purse there are two main sections. The back section is almost the entire width and height of the bag. I could almost fit a packet of 8X10 papers, but they were a little scrunched. I can carry my 7" Kindle Fire sideways while still having plenty of room. The front section has even more room. There are 2 pockets, one a couple inches wider than the other, along the wall dividing the 2 sections. There are 2 more pockets across from those. I can easily slide my Kindle Fire phone, case included, in a couple of the pockets. They are deep enough to carry pens, my Moxie lip gloss, small pad of paper... Then, the rest of the section has ample room for my HOBO Vintage Nancy wallet, my Kindle, some feminine products... This is not an oversized bag that you can over stuff, but you can easily carry necessities plus more. It is not a deep bag but I did not want the bulk of a deep cross-body. I wanted this shape exactly.The back side of the purse has the same magnetic closure as my wallet that I like so much. It is a great sized opening the full width, and almost height, of the bag. It is fully lined with that beautiful flower fabric. My handicap placard fits length wise with several inches left. You could easily slip a kindle or iPad in there.The Vintage Lorna has the look, the feel and the space I need. It is "functional" but I don't feel like I am wearing a bulky fanny-pack. There was never any weird or noxious odors, just the light smell of leather. The strap is soft like the rest of the bag, it is comfortable and has several lengths to choose from. I can easily get in and out of every pocket, one handed, while wearing it. There is a pocket or section for everything I need. I like an organized purse, but not necessarily one of those bulky organizers. I could go on and on. I have not found anything I don't like so far.I have had this cross-body 4 days, I waited 4 months to write the review for my HOBO wallet. I figure, I can always edit my review. And if anything changes I will. It is just so rare for me to find exactly what I am looking for in a purse or wallet and HOBO has given me both! I would give more stars than 5 if I could.

The is a beautiful purse and a great size for everyday use. The shape is square and reminds me of a bit of a briefcase and looked very business like. I returned it and ordered the Hobo Kensie from amazon, it has a bit more slouch casual look.Pros:Beautiful LeatherAdjustable strapPractical pockets and spaceDeep enough to use have a wallet and a change of clothes for my potty training toddler.Cons:Too square and businesslike for my style

this bag looks lovely, but it was too small to fit my wallet, makeup and travel maps while touring thru Ireland last week. ugh, I should have ordered a bigger bag, I wish the strap was a bit longer as well. BUT, to be honest, it really and truly is a beautiful bag. I will be using it a lot here in the city.

GORGEOUS!!! I absolutely love everything about this bag. The size is perfect, the shape is perfect, space, and the strap is perfect. The material is beautiful! I ordered the light colored snakeskin and it's more beautifulin person. I lucked out with this purse at $125. I just got the purse in the mail today and the prices have already gone back up. All I can say is it's worth every penny. This is my first Hobo purse. I'm a huge Hobo wallet fan and my Hobo wallet just will not die! So I know HOBO is of great quality so why not splurge on high quality since it lasts a long long time. And that never goes out of style. I didn't expect to love this bag as much as I actually do! I've already switched all my stuff over to this bag and everything fits perfect! Buy it! You won't regret it! It's beautiful!

I was pretty disappointed by this purchase. I ordered the bag in Ink and when it arrived it smelled AWFUL. I surfed on the net to see what could have caused it. One link said it was the dyes that was used to color the leather and another said that some factories put them in containers and spray them with chemicals to protect them. Maybe they do use a manufacturer abroad to cut costs...I don't know. The chemical smell reminded me of when lawns get sprayed for pesticides and made me kind of nauseous.I called Hobo customer service but they claimed they had never heard of this problem and perhaps it was an Amazon storage issue. Sadly, I couldn't get past the smell and am returning my purchase. From a design perspective, it is a OK but I thought the compartments inside were narrow and had no zippers so seemed to get jumbled easily. Also, the center pocket seems to just get in the way.

The inside of this bag was ugly, lime green, orange light flowers, I prefer the color advertised. It's very conservative to me, more for business, it reminded me of a brief case. It's light and roomy but it wasn't for me. The quality is beautiful. I would have given it a five star, but the false advertisement for the interior is why I rated it less.

This is a beautiful bag. The one thing to know about it is that it is very narrow, and the zipper that you see on the picture (on the side of the bag) is the primary zipper. it is beautiful and I love it, but if you want to carry anything that is wide it will distort the shape of the bag.
