SANUS Universal Premium Full-Motion TV Mount for 50"-85" Flat TVs-Featuring 90º of Swivel, 6.5º of Tilt, 25" of Extension & Cable Management - VLF525

Doing a lot of research, I noticed most buyers were impressed with the quality of Sanus products, and praised their support. Well I can say I'm impressed as well; they are unmatched. I paired the Sanus VLF525 with a Samsung 46 LED TV. This mount is made for much larger TV's, however it allows me to move the TV completely perpendicular to the wall, to achieve a true 90 degree angle. So I can pull the TV away from the wall, and swing it a full 90 degrees angle to the wall, a requirement to meet our needs.Before buying, I contacted Sanus via email with some questions to ensure the TV I planned to buy would work in my case. They replied same day and confirmed it would work. I also had to contact Sanus during the installation because I needed to get 2 longer bolts than what were supplied in the box. They offered to ship them to me no charge, but the technician gave me a few short cut pointers so that I could head up to my local Ace Hardware and buy exactly what I needed. The two bolts cost me only $1.50, and I was able to continue the installation 30 minutes later.The mount is very heavy, almost twice as heavy as the Samsung 46" TV. The installation instructions, and video (on their website) were very easy to follow. I used a magnetic studfinder that's included in the box to locate wall studs and pinpoint my drilling points. I used painters blue tape to stick the installation template to the wall. From there the rest was easy, but you will need a 2nd person to help lift the TV and snap it into place. The mount has several adjustments making it extremely flexible and forgiving.The tension in the arms is stiff, but this allows the TV to stay in place once you've got it into position. The mount feels incredibly sturdy and strong. I can pull the TV about 2 feet from the wall and it holds firm. You get the same feeling when adjusting level and viewing angle.In the end analysis, I could have probably bought another mount at a fraction of the cost. But I'm not confident less expensive mounts would be anywhere near the quality of this product. More importantly, I don't feel like I need to worry about my TV crashing to the floor with a cheap mount.

I needed to install a TV centered over a fireplace but discovered that my studs were positioned so that the TV would be off center. I thought I was going to have to rig up something on the wall to then center the wall mount to, but after some research I found this mount. Because this mount always horizontal movement once mounted on the wall I could slide the TV over to perfectly center it above the fireplace. An extra bonus is that I can tilt the TV down to make up for the less-than-ideal install height.It was very easy to install myself and have had no issue with it. It's really designed and made well.Also, the mount says you can mount up to a 70" TV, but the Sanus website recommended this mount to me for my 75" TV. As long as the weight of the TV is lower than mount's max, you should be OK. I've had zero problems with it so far.

This bracket is so strong and is pretty heavy by itself. Mounted this direct to wooden studs with the provided hardware and it is solidly on the wall. If you mount this to aluminum studs or just to drywall, the weight of it is likely too much and it may fall off. Put it on wooden studs.Unlike other TV mounts, this one attaches to the TV in ONE center square area. Other mounts have hooks that rest on the wall mount. That makes for a fast and easy TV mounting to the wall.For larger and heavier TVs (I installed a 65" TV) you will need 3 people to mount it. One person on each end to lift the TV and a 3rd person to guide the TV mount point ONTO the Sanus wall mount (see photo).We couldn't get it mounted with 2 people because the large TV size made it hard to line up the two mating points. The 3rd person stands behind the TV and guides the TV left, right, up and down to get the points to line up. Then the people on either end can hook it and snap it in.USAGE: This mount accommodates a 65" TV on a wall and gives me rotation to about 70degrees to either side - before the TV sides hit the wall. That is the primary reason I chose this bracket, to have as close to a 90deg rotation as possible. TV is mounted in the center of a wall. I use it in a basement and my work out area is off to one side of the room. TV goes flat when the space is used for movies, etc.The 65" TV I installed weighs about 60 pounds and this mount might be overkill, but I didn't want to take any chances with the weight rating of other mounts. Overall I am very satisfied with it, the mount is super sturdy and keeps the position you set on it.

This is a great full motion TV mounting system. I hired a professional installer to hang my TV though because I didn't want the responsibility of my new Thousand dollar TV falling off the wall or the mount. The installer was surprised when he saw the mount I had chosen. He said it was top of the line of full motion mounts. He told me that most people buy the cheapest mount they can find to mount their TV on and it is very hard for the installer to get the mount tweaked in, to their satisfaction. He showed me how easy it is to re-adjust any angle of the TV without the need for any special tools. With just one finger on each hand, I can pull the TV away from the wall up to 25 inches and angle it in any direction to provide the best viewing angle for any seat in my living room. It is well built and very easy to use. It holds my new 60 in. Sharp Smart TV firmly against the wall or in the extended position at any angle I choose. It even comes with a cover to hide the mounting screws, which I really liked. The price on Amazon was also $150.00 cheaper than anywhere else I looked at this mount.
