Q: A hole wore through the sheath that came with mine. Has anyone found a good replacement?

The same thing happened to the one I got for my husband! Within only just a few days too. For that reason I should've returned it but the tool is decent. He just duct taped the bottom though so sorry I cannot give a better answer. I'm sure you could find a cheap one at a flea market but buying on Amazon I would imagine you would check the size of the tool and match it to a case.

Q: The bits socket does not seem to stay on the tool. Seems like it should be magnetic or held on by friction or a sprung bearing. Is mine defective?

Mine is magnetic, not a super strong magnet though.
