Cognizine Citicoline is an important part of my daily supplementation. It has been scientifically proven to enhance cognitive function, which is important to me as I age. Ordered September 2023, received a product with May 2026 expiration, all 60 capsules filled and intact. The bottle had an outer plastic seal, an inner protective seal, and cotton stuffed inside. The powder inside the capsules tastes slightly sour. I haven't noticed any significant benefits or side effects so far.

What I've most noticed about this is how it affects me very similarly to how Ritalin does. I get very focused, with almost tunnel vision, and I can focus on a project for hours. I do like that effect. What I was most looking for is more mental energy, which isn't quite the same thing as focus. I still get mentally tired, (after a mentally challenging work day) But the focus effect is nice. This is just an effect I've noticed after having used this for about a week.

This stuff is definitely potent, after 2 doses my memory recall improved immediately and supplement gave me energy. However, this formulation did give me some angry anxiety and insomnia after taking for a week . I think it’s good for occasional use when you need more focus, but people with anxiety issues or on psych meds shouldn’t take and/or talk to their doctors first. ETA also about an hour or so after taking, this supplement makes me unusually ravenous. I eat a handful of nuts and it passes. Just a warning for those who are watching their calories! ETA again 2022: after taking this several days in a row, the bones and joints in my feet and legs really started aching very painfully, I could barely walk on my feet very far. I stopped taking and it took about a week for side effect to go away. Not sure why I reacted this way, pretty certain it was due to this item, but definitely use caution using supplement.
