The best on the market !
This is by far the best steam generator by Tefal . If you look after it well its performance is second to none . I love using it everyday . I use it quite heavily as im a bridalwear seamstress and its constantly used . Cannot recommend this enough . I also got a replacement tank as i cracked mine very slightly by accident. Tefal after care is also good . Spare parts are available online easily .

Brilliant
Aesthetically great! But, even better is the performance, I only have to iron one side of everything, so it gas stormed through a huge pile of ironing. I like the auto steam function- I gave arthritis, so I like that I don't have to press/hold buttons in. The iron itself is also very lightweight, another bonus for my fragile hands! The light I didn't really get, before it arrived. But it is a surprising bonus. My only criticism is that the electrical cord doesn't retract into the base. My other Tefals had this funtion in the past, which was great for tidy storage, but all the other benefits outweigh this. I got this for much less than from other places, so although a little on the pricey side, it was cheaper than I'd seen before.

Disappointing
I bought this to replace my existing Tefal steam generator which was still in good working order but wanted to pass this on to my daughter.Firstly, there is no cord storage for either of the cords, unlike the previous model. The tank is also smaller. The light is a gimmick as is the Smart technology. It leaks on whatever setting you use, so putting away your ironed clothes is impossible, unless you want mould growing on them. Considering how much I paid for this, I wish I had just kept my old model. And to top it all, I am unable to upload a photo because the link isn’t opening to allow camera access. I wish I’d paid more attention to the previous reviews.

Stop looking!
This is our third steam generator iron. It is a beast, plus it has a light (don't knock it till you try it). Cuts ironing time in half, it's as if the clothes iron themselves! Excellent bit of kit. Highly recommended.

Great, powerful iron to do the job I hate most.
My last Tefal iron lasted almost 10 years. I loathe ironing so I don’t begrudge spending more for a good one.. did research well before buying this one. It’s very expensive but so far it’s earning its keep.

Excellent performance, good ergonomics and balance.
Excellent steam performance, sustained and powerful. Does genuinely cut down the time spent ironing, with reference to 10 yr old Tefal version that offered rated 120 g steam output.Lightweight compared to others, with good ergonomics. The iron will stand up on its own, unlike some other similar models from Philips for example, with good balance on the steam head.Smart steam function works well, allowing use without holding the trigger, auto shut off works quickly so no safety concerns with excess steam. The LED feature is nice to have but not much use unless you are ironing in the dark!Another good feature is the adjustable control, allowing Normal, Delicate and Max.A lot of new steam generators are moving to single temperature soleplates with auto steam. Personally, do not trust these with delicate fabrics and like the option to control the settings.Water filling is ok, detachable tank is normal these days and is fine once gotten used to.From a sustainability some wear and tear spare parts are available from Tefal, nice to see longevity being considered by the manufacturer. An expensive model but worth the spend.

A complete joy
I have been a Polti devotee for many years but my last iron, right from the start dumped water in huge quantities and it never really eased up. I thought I had a faulty item but it's too late to change and whilst looking for a replacement decided I would not risk Polti again. I selected the Tefal which looks a bit space age for me, but never the less it was very easy to set up and a complete joy to use. What a difference - no puddles of water, or wet clothes.th eiron glided over my clothes with ease. Would highly recommend.
