Q: What height stair will this cart work on? Will it work on 8" risers?

Mine is a 7 inch and it works like a charm. When the cart is loaded and when the user pulls the cart, one of the dominant wheel that touches the wall of the step gets its traction which makes the wheels flip until the next wheel moves to the step above it. I believe this may not work well on those steel stairs that has just the steps and no wall.

Q: Can this go up and down open stairs (no risers)?

Yes, this stair climbing cart instal with rotatable tri-wheel at both-side which allow to climb the stair up and down.

Q: Can the wheels scratch wooden stairs?

No they cannot. But let me tell you this, as you move the wheel from asphalt, dirty concrete to your beautiful hardwood floor, this will definitely leave a trail based on the weight you loaded. It happened to me, but nothing a trusted Bona surface cleaner wont remove. Hope this helps. The wheels have a rubber contact surface that will not scratch the wood by themselves. Ensure you don't have any foreign dirt stuck the wheel which may cause the scratch.

Don’t know. Didn’t buy that model.Use ours to climb stairs. Works fine.
