Great value and reliable performance i’ve been using this 2 TB hard drive for a day and it’s been excellent. The set up was super quick and easy and it was recognizing immediately. Without any issues. The transfer speed are solid for every day back ups, media storage, and Work files which is what I use it for. It runs quietly. Stays cool. Feels well built. The large capacity is perfect for organizing. Everything. I need all of one place and so far. It is very reliable. Overall, it’s honestly a great price for the product that you get. I definitely recommend it to anyone needing dependable extra storage

My swann security dvr would not record. A symbol on the monitor indicated the hard drive was malfunctioning. Changed the hard drive super easy but the swann would work. Found out the power cord was not giving full power. Changed the power cord and my swann dvr works like brand new...The hard drive super easy to replace and works great...no problems

Drive works well so far. Only concern is that the drive was dated March 2018. It's been in a warehouse for a while. If it works well, I'm ok with that. Was expecting a more recent manufacturing date. If it works, all is good.

Large capacity. Iam able to save much more of my personally created content and images.

Got my Lorex HD recorder back up and running. Was a pretty easy replacement. Pretty much plug and play.

It is a surveillance drive for NVR applications. I am assuming that anyone who knows the difference will understand this & the different build construction of different drives. It is quiet, no obvious noise, I have it running in an Amcrest brand NVR which it fit perfectly, screw holes lined up well, the cable connectors fit perfectly. I cannot measure the temperature during operation, but the NVR does not run hot or even warm, so that is a good sign to me. Longevity - It has not been running for very long, but the WD specs give an expected life (mean measured value, I assume) so I expect it to meet the mean life expectancy. Anything past that is a bonus. Use it for surveillance & it is fine, these are typically important pieces of stored data, but not normally mission critical, if they are, they you are probably an IT expert & you know what to do to back them up anyway (I am NOT an expert, I just have enough knowledge to be dangerous :-)....) Overall I have had good luck with different WD drives over the years & I expect no less from this one I did not get paid, reimbursed, of given anything for free (never do as I am not important enough online!) so you are getting my own unbiased, honest opinion & nothing but that. :-)

These are great hard drives for Video cameras, and the Purple is very reliable. I’ll continue to buy these from this seller

This is a replacement drive ordered for a security NVR. The drive lasted for about 32 days. Í contacted the manufacture for warrenty replacement as Amazon return date expired by one day. Western Digital replied that the SN on the drive expired in 2020. I bought this on April 2025. I supposed that the expired warranty date items are being sold by Amazon vendors. I have been a long time customer and feel that I am being treated this way

Just Wow. HDD is fully functional in cctv use. it's speed is very well, weight is lighter and it's installation is pretty easy. Hdd compatible for most of cctvs.

Prompt delivery and well packed...product working fine have had no quality issues.
