Q: For the manufacturer - is the red colored version made of actual red glass? or is it the type that has a plastic-type coasting applied inside??

The glass itself is not red. The coating is applied on the outside. Mine is peeling off.

Q: does the red glass fade?

I have some from several years ago and they are still red, however, I left one in a solution of bleach and water overnight and found the color had faded off on the side where it touched the solution. My BAD!

Q: Are there Replacement parts for the feeder? Mine are rusting.

There are but it’s cheaper to buy a new one. 2 months after my purchase my feeder turned bright pink and started to peel. Contacted manufacturer and they did nothing because that problem did not alter its functionality. Going to stick with Perky Pet brand because they stand by their products.
