For the money, this is a great value, and if used properly, should last as long as your N55 engine....the construction material may cause it to distort, and may be difficult to separate from the filter assembly, but if this occurs, the cap was installed too tight or it's being installed too tightly...cranking on the plastic oil filter canister lid without disregard to propr torque value will result in needing a new filter canister lid and/or tool.....I'd buy this product and same mfg products....

Lots of hit or miss reviews here, but for me, it fits like a glove and easily allows me to apply the 25-26 Nm of torque needed to open or close my BMW oil filter cover (2020 M4 but most BMWs use the same type of filter cover). It does get on there pretty tight and might be hard to remove. Solutions: - wait for the engine to cool down a bit, and it will come right off - use a pick tool to loosen it

This little oil filter wrench fit my BMW M340i perfectly and made the job a breeze. It locked onto the cap snugly, with no slipping or wobbling, and let me remove and reinstall with confidence. The material feels sturdy for the price and if you use the proper torque instead of cranking down on the housing, it should last a long time. Highly recommend for DIY oil changes.

Does not fit brand new OEM from BMW dealer oil filter cover. It did fit however on the old (cracked) aftermarket oil filter cover. If using aftermarket cover (Dorman etc.) it may work perfectly. My experience with those aftermarket caps is they do not last/hold up and crack causing leaking oil. Hence new one from dealer

BMW oil filter cap, a bit tight fitting if pushed on all the way on. Had to lever and tap it off but not much of a problem.

This fits nicely on my F10 (2013) BMW 535i Xdrive. I was worried, based on a few reviews, that it may be too loose, whereas I didn't really mind if it was a little tight - I could knock it off. But yes, it's a very good fit. just snug enough on my 535 oil filter housing cap. Good quality and strong enough to use. Hope it will last.

Great little kit fits well on filter cap but very tight to get off when tighten. Feels strong 💪

The fitment should be 87mm, not 86.4mm. I found I had to gently tap it on to fit. Worked but I had to tap and lever it off after screwing the filter housing back on. Be very gentle when getting it on and off as you may squash and split the plastic filter housing.
