I think this is going to be the perfect solution to my little demon wanting to bite whoever is holding her when she gets her yearly vaccinations.

Worked like a charm! My long hair cat, Sophie, and I have had a complicated relationship when it comes to claw clippings and sanitary shaves. I was at the point where I couldn't bring myself to try anymore. I've been stabbed bloody one too many times, despite much effort with the burrito method.Using this bite guard, she was stunned into stillness. Did not know what to do with herself for the first moments. She then proceeded to give me a very nasty review of this horrible thing that I put on her, but otherwise let me get the work done in a very efficient way.Sophie is pretty chill and forgiving despite her aggression for things she doesn't like, so it was easy to seat around her neck. Even at a point where she was fed up with me and wriggled out of my grasp, she was unable to get the guard off of her head.I checked the sizing guide and measured Sophie's neck before purchasing this product. I'm happy to say that fit perfectly based on the measurement I did. It does take a little bit of effort to get the velcro secured correctly. Not the easiest thing to use the first time around, but not difficult once you get used to it.I highly recommend this product to anyone that cannot bribe their cat into getting groomed. Great for friendly cats with persnickety temperaments!

I ordered a medium but it did not even fit my smallest cat. The medium size is really a small size. I am returning it and getting an extra large, as the cat is on the heavy set side.

Finally found one that actually fits a small 11 lb dog. Despite using the measurements listed on other brands, they are all too small and there was not enough ventilation. So they were returned.This brand came in an Extra Large and has many more ventilation holes.The only negative is that the plastic is not thick enough. It is too flimsy for its size. I don’t expect that it will hold up well to bi-weekly use.

I actually got this to keep my chihuahua from biting me during nail trims. she hated it, but she didn't bite me. so, I won :-)

I received a dirty, used item that had fluid and hair from another animal all over the inside and on the velcro strap. Clearly it was returned.

My dog doesn’t like his nails trimmed( I cut into the quick when he was a puppy and he hasn’t let me forget it) but monthly groomer visits are a lot of money. Works perfectly and has cut trim and filing down to 10 minutes now. He can see what’s happening and breathe and I don’t have to worry about him snipping. We call it his ‘Astronaut Costume’ because he looks like an astronaut 😂

I use this for my pug. She weighs 19 lbs and although the XL size doesn’t quite fit around her neck, the Velcro strap is adjustable and holds it perfectly in place. Eventually, the Velcro does get worn out, but by then I typically have to replace the helmet. My pug will not focus on using the bathroom without this on. She is too busy trying to eat everything off of the ground. An emergency veterinarian recommended this for me after we had a second trip for a bowel obstruction. Puggy Sue loves to eat anything and everything on the floor and the ground.
