Carhartt Men's Big & Tall Sweater Knit Quarter Zip

A slightly trim fit, that looks nice, but ample room for a leatherman on my belt. Nice material. Color in the picture is accurate. Have washed it once with no fading. Very comfortable.UPDATE April 27, 2015: Dropped from 5 star. I have worn this for about a total of no more than 2 weeks for nice, casual use. The left elbow "patch" has come unsewn for about 1/2 inch. It appears that the cross stitching was barely touching the material, and the material has pulled out, leaving a hole. It is beyond the 30 days return for Amazon. I have "chatted" with Carhartt, and chat said that I need to call their 800 number, and they will give me a return authorization. If their QA determines that this was a manufacturing defect (which I believe it is), they will send a replacement and pay for my shipping. I will update this when the transaction is complete, one way or the other.Update Jan 28, 2016. I was reminded by a reader to update that Carhartt replaced the sweater after examining it. I just opened, washed and started using it last week. So far so good. Thanks to Rafael Cordeiro for reminding me to update. I have updated from 1 star to 5.

To begin I just want to say that I do in fact like the sweater. I ordered a medium since I usually wear M to L and I read that the sizes tend to be somewhat larger. That is true but not excessive. It's big enough to fit nicely and give you room to maneuver. It's nice, thick and has some weight to it which I like. The one thing I didn't like is that the color faded extremely fast. I got the brown color or "coyote tan" as I like to call it and it faded by the second and third wash. So it quickly went form a nice sweater to wear to the store to "my new construction sweater." I might buy another in the future but probably in grey to avoid discoloration.

I'm a tall guy (6'4" - 230lbs)- and XL sizes NEVER fit. Typically the sleeves aren't long enough and shoulders usually too tight. If I go to XXL size the shoulders and sleeves then fit BUT THEN I'm wearing a Tent. So I was doubtful about the claims that Carhartt runs large.Reviews say to order a size smaller...hmmm. Decided to give it a try - and YES - the XL is perfect size - and shoulders fit fine. But the Tall size was unnecessary - sleeves are too long. Returned this for an XL reg and all is fine. I've never run across a maker who cuts a Reg XL that fits me. Love it.

Usually I wear a 2XL Tall size for shirts. Carhartt shirts tend to run a little big. Based on some reviews I read, I ordered a regular XL. This size was too short on me. The sleeves were ok, but the shirt length was too short. ( I'm 6' 1", 240 lbs.) Returned the first ones I ordered. Wound up ordering 2 more in an XL Tall size. These fit me great. Nice comfortable shirt to wear just about anyplace. Washed them once, minimal shrinkage. Wished they came in a better variety of colors in my size.

Shirt was nice, but much larger than expected. I'm 6'3", 270lb, and most frequently wear XXL, or XXL-Tall if I can find them. This XXL-Tall felt like a tent. The body was very baggy. For my height I have relatively short legs (30" inseam jeans) and a long torso. The XXL-Tall was long enough to completely hide the back pockets on my jeans. The sleeves covered all all but my fingertips.I subsequently ordered an XL and found that it fits perfectly.

For once, a product for tall people that wasn't also sized for heavy people. (Although that's available too if you need it) Some men are just tall and slim or average and it's extremely difficult to find shirts or sweaters etc, that are long enough in the torso and sleeves that aren't also very wide and loose in the torso. This is a company that understands the difference in sizing and sells well-made products that are truly fit for tall people. Having a 6'7" son makes this product line a great reliable source for me to get things that will actually fit him and look good too. I will continue to purchase from Carhartt's Tall section.

This is the kind of sweater I wear when it's 50's or raining or I am outside doing work. It's not super fancy or expensive, so you can throw it on to do yard work or whatnot and not be afraid to toss it on the ground once you get hot or get it dirty. It still looks really nice.There are elbow patches of the same color as the sweater.Only drawback in my opinion is that I wish it had a "kangaroo pocket" hidden in the front.

I love this shirt. I wear it so much that sometimes I'm worried that people are snickering that I'm wearing the same thing I wore last time they saw me. I'm 6'4" with a long torso and this is the perfect length for me. The zipper is nice an heavy-duty and stays where I put it. I could do without the little arm pads that are sewn in, but they aren't too noticeable. I'm considering buying a second one so my first doesn't have to go through the wash so often. I highly recommend this shirt and just about anything else Carhartt makes.

I've bought carhartt jumpers before and had to get an XXL but this was too big, I couldn't see on the actual sale post that it was relaxed fit but I may have just misread it.

Der Carhartt Sweater Knit Quarter Zip ist in der Passform Relaxed Fit geschnitten und trägt sich echt angenehm. Wertiger Zipper von YKK, super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, angenehm auf der Haut. Klasse! Da passt auch gut noch ein Hemd darunter.Ich habe jetzt einen in XL und einen in L, und bin mit beiden sehr zufrieden.
