Sturmey-Archer 2-Speed Coaster Brake Hub

The media could not be loaded. Love it. Easy shifting. You don’t actually have to kick it to shift. Brakes are quite strong.

This is first Sturmey Archer hub. I had bought a fixe bike and had it installed. By doing so, I have a very unique fixe bike with a 2 speed kick shift. I've very pleased with this product as I enjoy cycling here in the Philippine Islands!

This is much better than regular shift equipment 5-speed 10 speed 21 speed garbage this is so smooth it makes having a bicycle so much better up hills flats man this takes the pain out of bike riding this is just what you need to feel great about your bike again if you got the money put it down on this one

Works, but there is noticeable friction in the hub. The shifting and breaking are smooth so far. The weather sealing amounts to sheet metal cover, probably okay for light rain but it will impact reliability if used in bad weather. Fun hub, but next time I will be trying the Automatix two-speed.

Right out of the box the hub didn't work correctly. Contacted Sturmey Archer and they sent replacement internals. Swapped them out in 5 minutes and the hub works flawless. I haven't ridden on it much yet so I will update if things change. Hub is heavy but its worth it for 2 speeds.

Awesome! good sacrifice of adding some weight to get an extra gear. Only thought is I wish I had gotten the freewheel version instead of coaster brake version. Makes hill climbing much easier...

The hub is a little noisy but the 2-speed action works as expected. Just a few miles on it so far.
