If he would only use it
It's nice dog bed for my 22lb Rat Terrier but he refuses to use it. He would rather lay in the dirt or grass.

I got this a day early my little 20 pound chipit figures it. I think the tent over it will be perfect to put on the patio this summer.

Strong enough for my American Akita 90+ lbs!
I bought this for my American Akita who spends a lot of time outdoors. Product arrived in good shape, all the parts were there, and the pictorial instructions were a little murky, but overall it was not difficult to put together. *The key to getting the frame to snap together without having to be the Hulk is this: There is a long patch of Velcro on the underside/short side of the mat. Completely open that up so that it's not gripping anything until after you have completely snapped the frame together and made sure that it's secure. Then you can pull the mat tight and remarry the Velcro.*Since this item just arrived today, my Akita is a little sketchy about being on something suspended above the ground. I had to put the leash on her and lead her onto the mat and she stayed for a little bit, looking at me as if she thought she might get in trouble if she got off the mat. So, I'll just leave it in her outdoor area and either she likes it or she doesn't. I have other dogs who would probably be very interested in this, so I will try it on them as well and see if I need to buy multiple cooling beds.* I bought the gray version, and I am here to tell you that the canopy does hold in heat. That would be great for fall or even winter, but in July in the Southeast, it's too much. So, I'll set the canopy aside and use it for cooler months, as I already have 90% shade sails up*

It is okay
Dog loved it. Only bad part is that the instructions were not helpful. One of the legs does not stay on. Falls off. After 5months; it is already bending in the middle. My husky is 55lbs. I bought it because of the shade top, but if it is in the sun does not shade well.

Cats love it!
I was hoping this would appeal to 1 of our 2 feral cats that live in our catio. She has a hard time with the heat . I'm so glad to say she loves it and even let's her brother share it with her.

Great, except for the flimsy clips that attach the top to the base
Pros:-These are really great for providing shade and rain protection for an outdoor dog.-I was very impressed by how strong and well built the base is. It takes some serious muscle to stretch the floor across the poles, and the velcro is very heavy duty.-The weight of the base and the shape of the top make it hard to blow over or away during a windy day or a stormCons:-The way that the canopy attaches to the base is absolutely terrible. It uses standard flexible tent poles to curve across to the corners, but there is no locking mechanism to secure the poles into the base. The only 'securing' mechanism is a very flimsy, thin plastic clip on a very thin and flimsy piece of elastic at the corners. A tiny amount of chewing or even just pulling by a pet will destroy these elastic and plastic clips, and then the top will not stay secured to the base. It's a really unfortunate and very major design flaw.If you have the tools and are handy, you can drill holes in the corner poles on the base part and install some set screws to pressure-secure the tent poles to the base poles. Then no amount of tugging, biting, or pulling will get the tent poles apart from the base. You can also replace the crappy plastic clips and elastic with some thin gauge steel cable and stainless steel securing hardware and you will be good to go. It's just a shame that you need to spend several hours and another $20-30 on fixing a product that is arguably so expensive to start with.

Fingers crossed!
I bought this to offer some extra shade/cooling to some outdoor kitties I feed. I haven't seen them actually use it yet, but they were curious when I was putting it together. Speaking of which, it snaps together really easy & seems very sturdy. Lightweight enough that I can move it around to different areas but not so light that a breeze will blow it away. A strong wind would probably pick it up, but I will experiment with weighting it down with a rock or two or tying it down. Or, actually, put it in the garage if I know a big storm is coming. I'm quite happy with it. I hope the cats like it!
