This has been on my Christmas List for a while. It was love at first site! I wanted to get away from the plastic electric tea pots that used to be popular year ago, and now there are so many nice options! But this was very English Looking and country cottage but clean looking in white ceramic! It heats up water quikly and shuts itself off automatically after heating to boil in about a minute or so. At first the chemical smell was noted, as I had read others reviews, so I boiled an inaugural batch to steam off any chemical treatment from manufacturing. And now it makes plenty of cups of tea, or hot water for any hot drinks or soups, or instant oats. It is very convenient. Thanks so much for my lovely Tea Pot!

Bought it May 2024 for use in a summer cottage. Only lasted 2 summers at best. It’s July 2025 and it quit working already. Very pretty but didn’t even last with only occasional use! Won’t turn on so out it goes. Completely worthless.

This ceramic tea pot works great. It takes about seven minutes to heat up a pot at the max level. I take it off the heat element and take it with me to make more than one cup. The water inside stays hot for awhile. I did not taste any bad taste on my first cup. Nor did I smell a strange smell. I washed the inside and the outside with warm water and dish soap, before I used it. Pours out easy, ceramic outside gets really HOT to touch, so be careful. The handle did not get hot. Pretty pot with elegant design. I bought the pale pink color, and it is true to the photo. I highly recommend!

Most of the electric tea pots I looked at were esthetically not my "cup of tea," but this one is super cute while still holding enough water and heating it quickly. I've had this for months now as I like to spend a good amount of time testing before I leave a review. I have had no problems whatsoever. It heats my water quickly, washes easily, and is easy to use. The instructions say to be careful placing the pot on its base; it only takes a little mindfulness to do so and the lack of problems is worth it. I am able to have a perfect cup of tea every morning in no time. I also took it with me when I went out of town. I stayed in an Airbnb that didn't have a coffee pot so it was handy during travel and easy to pack along. Overall I'm completely happy with my purchase. It shipped in a reasonable time and is well worth the small price I paid for it.

Although this kettle is so pretty it has made the water taste like “plastic” or some kind of chemical every time I use it. I’ve had it for 4 months and it doesn’t matter how many times I rinse or wash it out, there is this awful plastic smell to it and taste in the water. I’ve tried making instant coffee, several types of tea, and the water ALWAYS has that awful slightly plasticky flavor. I will have to get rid of this and try another brand—very disappointing.

My elderly roommate asked me to order this lovely water kettle for her so that it can help elevate her tea routine in the morning. Now, she loves it and doesn’t seem to catch on the plastic smell that comes with it once the water starts boiling. I asked her about it. Her tea seems to taste just fine and she also isn’t catching on the plastic odor at all. I myself smell it instantaneously! There is this white “max” mark inside, made out of plastic which evidently releases a plastic odor consistently. I myself dislike this a LOT and I won’t use this kettle.SO: If your nose/senses aren’t too sensitive then you will be happy with this purchase, just like my elderly friend. But if your senses are sharp (like mine) then I’d recommend you ordering a different one.As far as the kettle itself: This is really a beautiful design with plenty of details! It is SO charming and I do love looking at it. The weight is just right. It also heats up very quickly! Love the Auto-Shut Off Mode. I only wish that this plastic mark inside could get replaced with a stainless steel one and it’ll be such a perfect kettle. Maybe something to consider for the producers…This is why I am taking off 1 ⭐️!! My roommate is happy all around. I am not fully. Hope this helps! 😃🫖

UPDATE: I must amend this original review. I got it in July and by October, 3 months later, it was leaking all over the place. It doesn't leak until you turn it on, but then all of the water will leak out of the bottom pretty quickly. I have looked and cannot see anything but obviously something is wrong. My old ugly kettle has lasted years and years and still works - its just ugly. This is so pretty, but crap - can't use it!!!!ORIGINAL REVIEW: We use boiled water a lot - tea, coffee, and I use it to speed up hot water for various recipes. We have a hot water kettle on the counter, plugged in at all times. I have been painting and fixing up the kitchen. I wanted to be rid of that ugly electric water kettle. I love the look of tea pots, but you have to boil water and pour it into the tea pot. This takes that two step process and makes it one - so much more efficient,. Reduces two items to one - less clutter -and it's pretty. The big surprise is that is boils water faster than the old ugly kettle (just as much water).

Mine stopped working and the company, TOPTIER HOUSEWARE INC, did not respond to my support request. It sat on my counter and was never abused in any way. I paid $52 for this so it should work for a long time! Very disappointed.
