Fast Bar, Blueberry Acai, Nuts Gluten Free, Plant Based Protein Bar for Intermittent Fasting (10 Count Box)

I understand that the point of fasting is to NOT EAT and this product seems like an oxymoron. I am not a hardcore IF-er and I understand that IF has its pros and cons (not recommended for people with disordered eating history and other contraindications). I experiment with IF and am trying to develop the ability to tolerate moderate hunger without getting cranky or crashing. When morning hunger makes it hard for me to concentrate or find athletic energy, I find this bar very helpful to extend the window before I need a real meal. The company’s results were written up in a peer-reviewed journal so that is persuasive. As a bar, it is simple, does not upset my sensitive stomach in the morning, and fills me up. Of course, unlike fasting, it adds to my caloric intake.

These bars are everything. If you intermit fast you know sometimes it is hard. These bars you can have without breaking the fast and they do the trick. They taste great and they fill you up.. I love them so much . I have ordered directly from the company too.

It does a good job, holding me over between meals.

I got the cocoa flavors because I’m a Prolon user and was hoping these flavors would taste better (or more interesting) than the Nuts & Honey flavor, but so far the cocoa one as well as the other cacao nib bar both still taste pretty similar to the original nuts & honey flavor and also still taste pretty bland :(

The good...I like these bars. When I am doing intermittent fasting and end my eating by 4 or 5pm, I can have a bar and coffee (black) in the morning and extend my fast another 5 or 6 hours. It is a miracle and the bars deserve 5 stars.The bad...Prolon (the manufacturer) changed the recipe by decreasing the fat and raising the carbs. Now, in the same scenario as above, I am hungry 90 minutes after eating the bar.The greedy...This company seem to be the only one that has the original recipe bars (the ones that really work). Whereas Prolon sells bars in a pkg if 12 for $30-35 (depending on subscription) this company is PRICE-GOUGING by selling a pkg if 10 for $49.99! I suppose they are doing it because can but it doesn't make it right. (I only bought some because I have reward points.) They should be ashamed. May the bad karma be w them. So i am taking away 3 stars from "the good!"UPDATE: The bars just arrived and the sent the NEW bars (for the rip-off price.) I called Amazon and received a full refund then dropped the rating to one star for the seller's greed and deception. Happily they are out of product so they won't be scamming other customers (at least for awhile).

These were ok but they weren’t the same product as in the Prolon kit. Different texture.

The bars I received were about 9 months out of date. I didn’t notice at first. I put them in the freezer and I am eating them.

I love these. You can really taste the cacao nibs. It's surprising they have so little sugar in them because they definitely taste sweet. They are NOT very filling compared to say a Cliff Bar, but if you are in a rush and you want to throw something in your bag that won't make you tired after eating, this is a great choice. I like that my 3-yo likes them too. Wish they were cheaper, obviously.
