Great Math Supplement
Great math book with awesome visual representations of the multiplication tables, with each number set and times fact given its own drawing and story to go with it. My 7 year old daughter has been struggling with learning skip counting so I ordered this book on a whim to hopefully gain a few pneumonic devices, very glad I did. After a quick read, she picked up her 9's with ease and has already remembered several other stories about the different numbers (Sailor 6 and Sammy 6 went fishing and caught 36 fish, etc.) If you have a visual learner or a story-based learner, I would highly recommend this book.

Not that helpful
Jst more to memorize. Yes if your child is a visual learner, this may help. However, if your child struggles with memorization, this probably won't help. It just confuses my son more and makes him more frustrated because he already works so hard to memorize.

Great tool for students who think differently!
This has been so helpful for my daughter. She picked up on the stories right away, and we have been struggling with multiplication facts for two years! I am so glad we found this book!

Haven't used it with dyslexic student yet.
Interesting way to present math. Have it in my counseling office as a resource for students and their parents to examine and try out.

It's ok.
These mnemonics and pictures don't work for my students, but I'm sure they would work for others.Had I been able to see a few more of the pages first, I wouldn't have bought it.

A great help for my slightly dyslexic daughter
I have a very bright 3rd grader who easily understand complex math concepts, but struggles with remembering basic math facts. We recently learned she is slightly dyslexic. These little stories stick in her head, and she remembers all her multiplication facts easily. She is a kinetic and visual learner. I wish I could find an addition book this good! The only criticism is that it doesn't do 11s and 12s.

Amazing!!!
I cannot recommend this book enough! My daughter has dyslexia and hasn’t been able to learn her multiplication and division until this book!!! She learned all of them in 1.5 days!!

Too young
The visual idea of this book is great for those that learn best that way. However, the stories that go along with the pictures seem geared toward a very young audience. It also seems that the stories are not that memorable and a bit arbitrary. For instance, the mnemonic for 3x6=18 is that students 3 and 6 get on bus 18 and head to school. Why is it bus 18? (well obviously because that is the right answer) For those that have learning difficulties, 18 is no easier to remember than 19, 20, or any other number in this case.

Dyslexic's don't like Black and White!!!!!!!
The pages of this book are dull, dull, dull. Dyslexics learn in pictures and this whole book is in black and white. The pictures themselves are not much better; they are small, and repetitive, meaning that our son, has little to distinguish one number fact from the next.COME ON!!!!! Use some colour and get a bit more creative with the pictures... it said in the blurb, great for dyslexics - this certainly IS NOT.
