Unsuitable for use in water!
On first inspection the pump appears to be well made with stainless steel components. After a couple of weeks in clean drinking water the tie rods corroded (they were mild steel.. After a month there was a problem starting the pump. On strip down and inspection the spiral impeller was found to be badly corroded and fouling the (silicone?) duct in which it runs. It was made from a corrodable mild steel. The pump is badly made and unsuitable for immersion in water!! The shortcomings were discovered after the return period expired.

The delivery was very promptly.
I like the quick delivery. I dislike that no manual was included in the package. It would been helpful if a brief installation manual and the schematic drawing and ratings of the solar panel requirements for the pump is included in the package.

Great purchase!
Great value, pump does exactly what it says. Very pleased with it as its easier to use and runs great off a car battery. I used it to lift water from a shallow well into IBC tanks, about a 4-5m height and its had no trouble.

Rubbish pump
Do not waste your money. Parts that look stainless are NOT. Mild steel nuts used inside which rusted away over 3 months use, loosening their grip on seal and allowing water in to motor. Absolute piece of Chinese crap!

Good... until it failed after 18 months
The pump felt solid and well made when received. It also performed well in a solar/battery/float switch set up. However, it failed after 18 month (continuous immersion). I paid £145 for it, so around £100 per year. Hard to see this as good value. I'm happy to return the failed item if the retailer/manufacturer wants to examine what failed. Looks like some (more) parts should have been specified as stainless?
