Best Price Point for what you are getting...
This TV is probably the best choice at this size and price point. You get HDR, you get 4k, you get smart TV capability, and a huge 65inch screen all for under $1000. Setup is a breeze: from taking it out of the box and setting it up (just using the supplied tv stand) takes about 15 minutes tops. The smart remote will also easily run all your entertainment equipment, allowing you to get rid of those half a dozen remotes you have lying near your couch! If you do decide to mount this on your wall always first make sure your wall mount can handle the size and the weight before hanging. When lifting this behemoth make sure you have at least 2 people, it is not the weight but the size of the TV that makes it very difficult for one person to try to lift and mount on the wall.Make sure you get the new HDMI 2.0 cables or "high speed" HDMI as they are called so that you can enjoy the 4k in all its glory. If you do not have the new cables you will not see a difference in your old TV vs. this beauty.

Software Update Ruined TV
I've had this TV for a few days now, and I don't have any complaints with it. I also have a 65 inch Sony Bravia, and I prefer the Samsung for a number of reasons. First and foremost, using bluetooth to listen to the TV through wireless headphones is a priority for me. This isn't possible with the Sony model I have, whereas the Samsung seamlessly connects to most of the headphones I own. The picture is magnificent, and the interface is easy to operate. There are 4 different picture settings, and it's important to adjust them based on what you are watching. Sports and movies look quite different in each of the modes. The remote is very basic and straightforward, and is the opposite of the Sony remote. It was easy to pair this TV with my DirecTV remote, so I have more flexibility in controlling the TV that way. The TV was also easy to unpack and mount. Overall, I don't have any complaints with this TV. At the price I paid for it, it's a bargain.UPDATE--After 3 months, a software update has completely screwed up my entire viewing experience. The bluetooth volume is now barely audible. I've tried every trouble shooting step possible myself before contacting Samsung. Customer support has been ATROCIOUS. I've been disconnected from one rep who failed to call back, treated rudely by another--nothing they've tried has been of any help. Really disappointed in Samsung. Will not purchase again.

Works well after 5 years
I bought this TV a part of our 25th anniversary present, and it has lasted well despite being on 23 hours out of 24, 7 days a week. The picture and the sound are clear. The setup is simple, and individual adjustments, when needed, are easy and intuitive. Overall, this purchase has proven to be worth the price.

Great Smart TV
Mounted this in our gameroom which we had just redone. Used the heavy duty wall mount from Amazon and we absolutely love the picture quality. We watch a lot on Netflix and Amazon and the smart tv aspect makes it super easy to switch between apps and UVerse. My only very small negative is that I still have not been able to get the Samsung app on my iPhone to connect properly. It shows the connection is there but will not activate. The voice activation is also a plus and works well. There have also been a couple of occasions when it loses the remote and has to be paired up which is easy and quick to do.

Excellent Display with non-display annoyances (still buy it)
The Display itself is excellent. The colors are bright. We have not encountered any pixelation issues, color discrepancies on the screen, or improperly displayed black. However, there are ways to improve the product. First and foremost, the plugs being mounted on the outermost edge of the device is not ideal for wall mounting. Cabling should come to the center of the device for cable management and aesthetics. The controller has a lot to be desired. While the ergonomic feel is unusual at first, it becomes natural shortly after repeated use. The real issue is the use of the buttons and attempts to pair other devices to it. It has a limited library of device pairings (models of digital boxes, DVRS, sound systems, etc.). If you aren't going to do something well, don't offer it.Samsung's Smart TV offerings are nice; but would expect to see more options by now for streamed services other than Netflix, HBO, and HULU. Things like Disney Jr., PBS, Disney, Nickelodeon, and broadcaster streams (ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN).We immediately hooked it via optical audio to sound system, so I cannot report on sound quality.Without the base, the unit is fairly light for 65 inches, I was able to hold it at chest height for several minutes without difficulty.Overall the Display delivers on quality viewing with peripheries detracting slightly from the device. A more robust offering in the HUB service or a remote that pairs better & better port location could elevate the rating to 5 stars.

Was great until purple patches appeared
I loved this TV and the picture quality was superb but after about three years these purple patches have appeared and from research I have found that it’s a very common problem with this TV it really affects viewing and picture quality

Not worth the current price but it’s a great tv
Ok, I bought the 65” back in Dec 2017. We’ve used it a lot. Movie nights, epic binging of shows, we’ve put a lot of mileage on this tv. 8 years later and I’m still fairly happy with it and I’ll most likely have it for another 3 years. However, for those looking for a new tv, I simply do not understand why the 65” is $2000…I bought it for under $1000. Is it vintage? Does it have a gold rim I don’t know about? Why is it $2000 8 years later? You can find an exact copy of this tv and its specs elsewhere.
