Modern Social Work Theory

Here's to the start of reading this whole book

Used this textbook for a Masters class. Theories are encouraged, but the author focuses more on political aspects of theories instead of application. Author often writes from a privileged standpoint instead of understanding power of privilege, oppression, & empowerment within the social work setting. Additionally, when the author repeatedly writes that Social Work cannot have application from psychology, it is telling that the books missed the mark.
