Good Tool for the money, powerful enough!
The media could not be loaded. I received this Katsu saw last night although only just had a proper look at it.A few months ago I bought the Katsu router, which has been excellent, so I thought I'd do a little review on this Katsu mini saw. It arrived well packaged and I was pleasantly surprised to find a wee pair of safety goggles in the package, a nice touch! The whole tool is robust and well made, although the base plate is made of pressed steel and feels a little thin, still it will be adequate and is strong enough! There are some sharp burrs on the front edge though so be careful, I'll file them smooth!"(ONE THING TO NOTE)" When the tool arrives, the base plate I thought, was stuck in the upright position until I figured out that this was only for packaging reasons, (please see the video of how to release the base plate), quite simple, although it's easy to think its defective, it's not, it simply needs releasing! As far as the power of the saw I'd say that it feels powerful enough, for laminate and floor board holes etc. As for longevity, if it's of the standard of my other Katsu tools then it should last fine. It is worth the money.I have mostly Makita, Dewalt and Ryobi etc tools, these Katsu tools simply add to my collection & they do have a place in my collection. I hope this helps!

Good tool
What’s not to like??You get a blade, safety glasses and tools.Good value for money. Some of the detractors on here should put their hands in their pockets and waste money on named brands instead of a cheaper good alternative like this. Well balanced and light to use.My makita batteries fit so a cheap well made alternative.Don’t be scared of buying this tool.

Decent for the money
I had low expectations for this but it’s actually pretty good. The blade needs to be printed side facing in which is unusual. It seemed a little under powered but that could be the 2ah battery I used not delivering enough current.
