Q: for those who have a glass top, and you own the 15qt & up pressure canner, does it work ok with the eye being smaller than the bottom?

I've got the 915 and the 930 and have been using them on a Maytag glass top at the same time. I've used them for several years now with no problems at all. I am careful not to drag them around over the glass surface. They are also very close to the same size as the two large burners so I have not experienced any heat issues. Had a lot of nay-sayers out there saying that it couldn't be done, especially with the 930, but I am very happy with the results.

Q: does it come with a wire rack

The 21.5 gt comers with 2 racks also ..they don't tell you that ..so don't go buy 2 like I did before you receive canner..

Q: is it safe on electric stove?

I've been canning on electric eye stoves for 30 years now, I purchased some cast iron covers that are used for cooking, they seem to distribute the heat more evenly to the surface and maintain the heat more evenly. I googled mine and found them online. $ 50 for all 4 burners, I clean them and condition them like my cast iron skillets ( I only oil the tops, not under the bottom).

Q: WILL THIS COOKER/CANNER HOLD 1/2 GAL JARS? HOW MANY?

The 15 1/2 Quart canner will not hold 1/2 gallon jars. It is not tall enough.
