Well, while working from home, I thought, 'what have I to lose?' My wife used the Indigo Blue Garnier, and it was beautiful all thought. Almost a midnight blue and a lighter, almost smoky blue on her grey (which I liked best). Checking on Amazon while motivated to do something different, I saw the "Cool Denim" color. Bingo. I ordered. I am thoroughly enjoying my blue beard. People have complimented it, or say nothing :) Here's what you need to know. This product IS NOT INTENDED for beards! You SHOULD NOT USE on your beard/face without CONSIDERABLE research and asking questions of those who would have important feedback. My beard was mostly grey, ideal for a new color. I mixed the color which is simple. It asks you to leave it (on your hair) for 20 MINUTES. I didn't want to lose color, so I did the same amount of time. Applying to face/beard can be made much less sloppy using a small brush of some sort. The product is pretty thick and will sit in your beard pretty well without dripping ... if you apply in thin coats and don't let it get too thick in any spots. WEAR AN OLD SHIRT YOU CAN LET GET SOME SPLOTCHES ON IT! The really HARD PART is HAVING THE DYE RIGHT UNDER YOUR NOSE. It's a potent/harsh odor used this way. My solution was to sit directly in front of a large FAN, which kept the fumes from my eyes and nose/breathing. At 20 minutes I jumped in the shower and DID NOT SHAMPOO/SOAP my beard. It says NOT to shampoo for 24 hours. In one photo you can see the fresh/new BLUE. The other has the color about 2 weeks later, faded, but the color I like the best, indeed like blue denim, not bright or Royal at all.

Wife speaking here: I knew when I bought this that I wasn't going to achieve the same exact color on the box, especially since my natural hair is a medium brown. The color came out a dark blue, almost black, which I half expected, so it's no big deal to me. Would have loved for it to be a little more blue than black but that's the risk I decided to take going with a box dye. The reason for giving it 4 stars is because it didn't cover well. My hair had no previous dye in it, all natural, healthy hair for the last 3 years. My hair is also long, about mid-back, and thick/wavy, so I bought 3 boxes. I used every last bit of those 3 boxes, my hair was saturated with color, but yet there are areas where the dye didn't take at all, patches of my natural brown hair. I also made sure to do very small sections knowing that my hair was thicker than most, and yet it washed right out. Not 100% discouraged though. I plan on letting my hair fade as much as it can, strip it, then bleach it so I can hopefully get the vibrant blue on the box. And if it's not possible next time then I'll go with a professional dye. On the plus side, my husband is in love with it.

I used this on naturally gray hair to add a bit of blue in the front. It was very dark blue. I wanted the color shown on the box, but it was not even close to the light pretty blue shown. It was dark deep blue. Maybe on bleached hair it would be different.

Ok. This hair color is difficult to find, and of the permanent variety, and the effort I made in getting it just ever so slightly outdid the end result of it's application. One, it says it will lift the already present color 2-3 levels. An amateur colorists dream, this is, for it did no such thing. Instead, my color came out dark blue, which is a very easy to find color. Two, the directions state not to pre-lighten, which is what I would have had to do to get the color right. Now, is the Asian chick on the box a natural born blonde? Me thinketh not. The case on this purchase's mystery may be closed, but unfortunately the box is not, and now I have DARK blue hair, instead of LIGHT. .. aside from that, it didn't smell as bad as most others and was a little easier to apply than most in both tools provided and consistency of formula. It also seems as though it may be longer lasting as well.

Sooo. We knew my sons hair was too dark. I first highlighted strands with a kit that bleached hair. Came out great. Waited a few days then used this kit to then attempt for those blond pieces to be dyed blue. Did the dye all over. Picture is right after. He loved it! Homerun. About a week later it faded out. Hair looks green now. Could be partially the bleach job but the blue didn't impress me.
