Incredible product! Makes my life in Mexico much easier as I learn Spanish
I am very impressed with all aspects of this incredible product - Fantastic engineering, excellent concept, ease of set up, ease of use, and most of all the excellent customer support. I know some Spanish and find the translations to be as accurate as the languages permit (the lack of gender specificity in English can result in interesting pronoun shifts in translation!) All very understandable!I was missing the off-line package on receipt but the customer support was very helpful and professional. I now have the package installed.I was able to set up the app in less than an hour, and used it to communicate with a girl friend the same day. We had been using Google Translate with WhatsApp (very successfully) but we now can have much more spontaneous conversations. I highly recommend this product.

Donāt waste your money
Let me start of saying if it would have been possible to return these, I would have. I am currently in Guatemala, I bought these to translate Spanish to English and vice versa. I speak a little Spanish but noting even close to being fluent. I read reviews and watched review videos before buying. Those reviews where done by reviewers that had been given this product to review, that should have been a warning sign right there. But I had become so desperate and hopeful to have a better way to communicate with locals that I took a chance and bought them anyway. From day one I have not been happy with the purchase and let me explain some reasons why. I opted for the more expensive offline version, which I didnāt even know at the time just means you get a kind of redemption code to enter into the app to give you āfishā or credits to purchase offline languages. The credits given on the card are not sufficient to unlock all the offline languages available, so donāt waste your money on the more expensive version. If you want an offline language just purchase the languages you want to use offline or as in my case it would have just been Spanish. I paid an extra $50 for the offline version and feel I got scammed.A phone is necessary for the translator to operate at all. They are essentially a pair of Bluetooth earbuds that operate through a software app on your phone. So yeah, you just paid $350 for a crappy pair of Bluetooth earbuds. They also have an annoying green light that stays illuminated the entire time you are using them. The green light will start blinking if you move too far away from your phone signaling the connection has been lost. The Bluetooth range is horrible. I have lost connection less than 5 feet from my phone.Continuing with the necessity of a phone for these to work, you canāt even let the app run in the background, the app must stay open and the screen on for it to work. If you turn your phone screen off to save battery life on the phone, they stop working. I have tried to save battery life by turning the backlight all the way down, but it still depleted the phone battery rather quickly. Now if the above things werenāt bad enough, how well does it do translating? It is worse than Google translate. It is not accurate and the main reason I bought this instead of using Google translate for free, is you are supposed to be able to have a simultaneous conversation. BS!!!! The lag is so long between speaking and translating, it is infuriating sometimes, it is not simultaneous my all. Even when one person speaks you have to wait a minute or so for the translation to even begin, Google translate is much faster. I have played with all the settings and I have not been able to improve the translation time. That is if it even heard what you said and tried to translate it at all in tbe first place. I have used these in a quiet room with no one else but the two people trying to have a conversation and sometimes nearly half of the time it doesnāt translate anything. The app does not scroll the written conversation either as either person is speaking.Lastly the high price for what you get is extremely disappointing. If it worked as advertised, my review would be entirely different. Even if it worked as advertised, I think it is overpriced, but the way it works in reality, as a consumer I feel like I have been scammed. The bottom line is the same as my headline, donāt waste your money on this product. The free translator options out there work far better than this. These are a very expensive gimmick. I hope this review saves you time, frustration and a fair amount of money.

The BEST Translation Earbuds on the Market
I had an opportunity to try my new translation earbuds recently and I was extremely happy with them. They are significantly smaller then the prior version and the sturdy ear hooks keep them securely in your ear. The clear rubber grips on each ear bud are be easily replaced or cleaned but the best thing about these ear buds is that they WORK and are easy to use. The offline translation is available and extremely vital for a translation device especially if your out and about in a foreign country and have a poor Wi-Fi connection. No Wi-Fi connection needed with theseā¦The compact design makes them easy to carry and they charge quickly. The translation is quick and accurate.I feel very comfortable traveling abroad in foreign locations with these ear buds!!!

I was extremely impressed...with caveats and thus the 3 star rating.
I was looking around for awhile for something like this and honestly, there aren't many options for a "real time" translation device. I put "real time" in quotes because there is a delay and it can be anywhere from a second to 5+ seconds. What works great? When it does hear you clearly, the translation is quick and accurate. The battery life is adequate and they do charge back up quickly. Sometimes the range from the phone is pretty far (20+ feet). What works good? It's fairly easy to connect and get going once you get the original setup done. What needs improvement? And here we get to the reasons for the lower rating. The earbuds aren't very big and so the microphones are back near your ear. When you talk, you aren't talking toward your ear and so the system doesn't always get what you are saying correctly and thus a poor translation. I found that if I take the bud out of my ear and hold the microphone up to my mouth, the accuracy increases to almost 100% but who wants to keep putting it in and taking it out to have a conversation? If you are in a noisy environment such as a restaurant, the accuracy will go down drastically as it will be picking up voices from all around (again, microphone back near your ear will pick up other voices as well as your own.)They randomly disconnect from the phone and have to be reconnected and the app reset for the translation mode.If you are hoping to be able to turn on the app, slip your phone in your pocket or purse like you can with most other earbuds and have it keep working, you are out of luck. It will sometimes for for a few minutes like this, but not for long. Typically, if you don't have the phone on with the app open and in focus, it will drop connection within a short time. The case is sometimes a bit tricky to open. It's small, smooth (aka slippery), and has a very small groove where you are supposed to get fingernails or something into to open it up. If you have big fingers and short nails, good luck. Conclusion: If you have patience and don't mind repeating yourself and stressing enunciation of words, then these will do what you want for the most part. But if you're expecting a device with real-time accurate translation even in a noisy environment, I'm afraid this won't work for you. But since the market isn't exactly teeming with competition for this, you will have a hard time finding something better.Recommendations for improvement:Find a way to keep the buds connected and translating even if the phone is idle (sleeping....whatever it's called when the screen goes off)Find a better way to pick up the user's own voice and cancel background noise. Perhaps a slide out wire microphone to get the actual pickup closer to the speaker's mouth.Make the case easier to open. I have big fingers and keep my nails short so I have trouble getting into the tiny groove to open up the case.
