Best Bedtime Book Ever
I had an old copy of this book that I had as a kid, and I used it to read to my sons when they were little. I just bought this copy for a friend’s little ones. Definitely recommend for littles.

Great book w/7 mini stories that remind me of my childhood and the importance of silliness & imagination-- Turtleback binding A+
I purchased this book in the turtleback binding and I love the quality of the reinforced hard cover. I was frustrated because I couldn't find this book anywhere in a hardcover (except if bought a used, older copy) and wasn't sure what the turtleback would look like. It is a very professional looking cover that seems like it will last my sons whole lifetime of repeated reading and inevitable abuse. The cover/back is finished with a slight slick finish (not shiny looking though) so that if my son got a drop of milk on it, it would wipe off without a trace, for example.Anyways, on to the book itself. I have such a love for this book as my Dad read this so many times to us as kids and this was the first book I knew I HAD to have when I had my first child. The 2 mini stories in here that I have remembered most over the last 30 years is the one about the mouse doing everything he can to get to his Mom's house and eventually trades his old, worn feet in at the side of the road for a new pair of feet (The Journey) and the story where the mouse won't turn off the bath water until he is totally clean-- which floods the whole town (The Bath). They are so silly and fun. But be aware that the illustrations aren't huge or super eye catching. But they are completely charming and chock full of memories of my Dad reading this book to my siblings and I.We just got this book in the mail today and I have already read this book FOUR times to my almost 3 year old and he is already a huge fan of this book. I am so happy that my son enjoys books-- and particularly that he already appreciates this Arnold Lobel's book.

Mouse Buys New Feet
I have loved this book for 30 years. I buy it for other people's children because it is so fantastic. A mouse gets tired and buys new feet, what more can I say.

I was hoping for full screen pages
Instead of each page of the book filling the screen on my Kindle the layout is two pages horizontally positioned on the screen. Hence the type is very small and hard to read. There may be a way to fix that, I just don't know what it is. We love Arnold Lobel books and have some in softcover. I will go back to that format.

Fun book
This was just the book I was looking for. My Grandma used to read it to us when we were kids, and my sister was looking for this book. It brought back some comforting reminders of our Grandmother :)

Almost as good as Frog and Toad
This is a series of seven very silly, very short stories within one book, which is great if it's bedtime and you're like "I can't read the whole book, but I'll read two of these" or whatever. At first, I found them a little too repetitive and silly, but soon found that Lobel left plenty of room for a parent to embellish these stories with funny voices and sound effects (like the wind blowing, or the new feet pitter-patting). Once I figured that out, this became one of our favorite bedtime reads, with my daughter anticipating the next silly event and having loads of fun. The whole book is bracketed by a father mouse reading to his seven mouselets, which is a great way to signal to your kid that s/he's going to bed, too. Extremely sweet book with a neat nostalgic wallop.

Nice Collection of Stories
These are really strong stories to get that little reader going strongly. The spacing is really nice so that it's not too confusing to follow along. The illustrations are nice, but not too distracting. The stories are entertaining enough that, as a parent, you won't find yourself overly bored reading these again and again, and they'll want to because the stories are very endearing. Overall, I found this collection of stories to be worth the money and then some!

Wonderful Book
My children's favourite book when they were young. I bought it on a whim for my grown uo daughter as a mystrey gift and she was delighted. Arnold Lobel creates a perfect imaginary world for his characters that our children adored. Classic book that every child should have in their library.

I bought this for my daughter as I loved the stories myself when I was young, she is too young to appreciate them at the moment but I love reading them to her!
