Great shipping package. Clear,heavy glass that doesn't tip over . Looks good. Wife like it . She is the straw person.

I love this straw holder. It is made of heavy glass and looks classic yet expensive. The best part is the rubber base. We use it for reusable glass straws, which we wash out and then put back in the container. The last container had a steel base, and even the smallest amount of water caused rust. The rubber bottom on this one is the perfect solution. It looks better in person than in the pictures :-) All around a great product.

This is, thankfully, GLASS!! Added bonus, metal lid and straw trap. This is the real deal - if you remember these prior to the age of 'all things plastic' this is as close as you can get without a brand name on it. The glass is a good weight to keep it stable when using; works as it should with lid fully fitting the glass rim, no warping. And lastly, great price and received it quickly to solve a kitchen problem.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was looking for a stylish way to display my straws instead of having them in a ziploc. But chose this item due to it being glass. The glass itself is thick and beautiful. I haven’t tried a shorter coffee stirring straw in this yet. It comes with the black straws pictured here. My only complaint is the frequency in which straws fall off the platform. Overall I’d recommend due to the quality and look of the item. Ease of cleaning: The pieces easily come apart and due to it being glass I can just wash in the dishwasher and quickly clean it he inner part and lid. Color: Color of the lid is matte black and is thin metal Thickness: the glass is rather thick and has a nice ribbed appearance

The glass is thick, with no apparent flaws that might be a particular stress point to crack. It's probably about twice the thickness of your standard quart-sized Ball Mason jar. I apologize, but I won't bother to fetch my calliper to measure its exact thickness. Only after pulling the product page to write the review did I notice the photos depicting two styles of glass: The first style is round and smooth all around, and the second with a design to give it a sort of angled look, including an area midway were you would apply a label. I received the latter to my delight, though I wouldn't have made a stink either way. The stainless steel lid (and carriage the straws stand upon) is suitable, though the description might lead some to imagining a more sturdy construction. The painted coating appears thin and easy to chip. I recommend nonabrasive means of cleaning when the time arrives--perhaps as you treat your nonstick pots and pans. If you have qualms with the potential of a chip of paint landing into one of the straws someone will use, maybe you should find an option without the coating. The corrugated cardboard box packaging is tough, possibly rated for items heavier than this. Styrofoam end pieces hold the dispenser centered in the box. A small bubble wrap baggie encases the part the straws stand on, as to prevent the metal and glass coming into contact should a significant impact jar it out of place. Included were two black labels and a white marker, I suppose so those who suffer from being unable to see through glass might be able to identify the contents without lifting the lid. I was delighted to discover the image on the box I thought was a cigarette was actually the marker. I am satisfied with this product. Despite the very few items I mentioned that might go on the con side of your pro/con list, this is still very much an accessory to liven my kitchen and for that I am grateful.

I had a plastic straw holder that cracked. This one is glass and heavy enough to not move around when you lift the straw dispenser. It holds my large milkshake straws along with thinner soda straws. The biggest plus it looks very stylish on my counter. I am very pleased with this purchase..

I was pleasantly surprised with this straw dispenser! The actual product is much higher quality than it is pictured. The glass is thick and sturdy, and the lid is solid. It is a little bigger and heavier than I have anticipated, but it is still easy to use and looks awesome in my kitchen.

I ordered this product after the first dispenser that I received from a different vendor arrived broken. This broken dispenser was cheaper and all plastic. While this product was a little more expensive, it was well worth it. The quality is amazing and it is really nice looking. So it turns out that I am really happy the first product that I had purchased arrived broken otherwise I would never have ordered this one!
