After Hurricane Helene hit the east coast, I had to go in my garage to pull out a big bulky radio (that used several D batteries) to get information when our power was out for days. With this, I'm much more prepared! It's light weight and easily portable. It works great and the price can't be beat. Very clear channels with hardly no static on any channels and only uses 2 AA batteries too!

Great little Radio! Curved design fits pants pockets well. Excellent reception. Pulls in many AM & FM Stations that stay tuned, do not fade, no chasing them on the dial once tuned in, great, clear sound for small speaker, long battery life.

Pulls in radio signal better than my pickup. Compact size, good speaker and batteries last a long time.

Bought this little radio for a camping trip. We used it to play music overnight to deter critters from coming into our camp. It worked great! It played 3 nights in a row 9+ hours and on and off throughout each day while we hung around camp. I still haven’t changed the batteries so it’s very efficient. The signal was clear and speaker loud enough for our purposes. The plastic is kind of thin and I feel like I have to be careful when handling it but it still held up just fine. It was worth the money for sure! My kids loved it too. With today’s technology they were surprised I didn’t need WiFi or a cell phone to make it play the radio 🤣🤣🤣 Love it!

Its a portable radio. It works and has all the traditional aspects of the handheld radio of the 70s. Nothing new, just reliable. Yesteryear it was available in any five and dime or department store. Today you can't find them. I bought two of these for a old man to listen the baseball game and one for me. I ran into another old man and gave him mine, it made his day. I had to buy another for myself., so I decided to buy two more. Maybe it's nostalgia of something simple made great. I cherish my radio and brings me back . Sound is good, size is just right. It takes two AAs not 9volt. I probably have to buy two more after giving these away. I wrote this review only because of the joy I recieved from this radio.

I bought a PRUNUS J-166 a year and a half ago just to have a simple portable radio on-hand for emergencies and general listening. Was surprised by how much this little radio delivers for under 10 bucks. The DSP tuning takes a little getting used to. It locks onto signals quickly and you have to tune slower than with a variable analog tuning circuit. Had to play with it a bit to get the hang of the tuner. That being said it has excellent reception for a compact radio. No problem pulling in local FM stations within 30-40 miles clearly with the telescopic antenna extended. AM pulls in locals within the same radius and a few distant clear channel powerhouse stations daytime. Nighttime I can pull in stations from all over which makes this a fun radio for DX'ing the AM band at night. The speaker and sound quality is what I would expect from a pocket portable. It's not gonna blow you with sound but that's why I bought it. No rechargable battery via USB so keep some AA alkaline or rechargeable Nimh cells handy. Battery life in this radio is good to excellent as a pocket portable doesn't draw much current. It's a nice radio for the price.

Great little simple radio! It's super easy to use. There's even a clip on the back. Great sound quality. Sometimes it falls over when stood up.
