its not heavy wood... i have imported bokkens from japan....this doesnt match their standard...the grip is on the thicker side....this wont fit japanese hands...having said that the build quality is in no way flimsy and the detailing and shape is good...but this is one of those cheap bokkens with mediocre wood...when u practice with it u dont get the top heavy feel u wud get from a gud nokken. its very bottom heavy so there is no WHIP when u strike. by whip i mean a pulling sensation u get when u halt ur strike from the top end of ur sword. by my experience of bokkens this shud not cost more than 2000 max....again not having any other options i in india i bought it...and i am going to keep it for practice/rough use and see how long it lasts...if i does gud i will edit the review in terms of durability. 3.5 from my side...bottom heavy/ non heavy wood but ok.....

This is an awesome product. Good material and beautiful structure.I bought it for my son, the quality is more than my expectations. High quality wooden is used. I would appreciate the craftsmen for each n every detailings. Highly recommended product. Value for money. The packing was too good.
