Nothing fancy, but gets the job done
Yep, it's cheap - not much too it - and doesn't really look stylish, but it works and very functional. It holds my "light for Life" on it and works well - light hasn't fallen off yet even after hitting a few potholes on the street. It's also nice because it's quick to take the lamp off and on. Who knows what the elastic band is going to be like in a few years after use, but if it's bad, I'll just buy a new one....Buy it - it works and it's cheap !

Can hold small light flashlights effectively, but not really strong enough for something substantial.
Good for small, light flashlights, but not the common tactical ones with rechargeable batteries available on Amazon (like the Phixton Tactical Military Police Handheld). The rubber band is not very thick on top and an aluminum tactical flashlight will be heavy enough to pull itself forward and jiggle around. I'm worried if I pull the rubber tighter that I'll be riding and it will snap and my flashlight will fall. If you have a smaller, lighter flashlight, this should work find.

Simple Yet It Works
I was skeptical about this when I saw it here in Amazon. But I have a few small LED flashlights in the house and I wanted to use them in my bike rides. The price is very affordable so I thought I won't lose anything if it turns out a lemon. I was surprised with its simplicity and usefulness when I first used it in our group ride yesterday. The rubber straps held the flashlight in place as well as the entire unit in my handlebar. The flashlight didn't bounce wildly nor get displaced whenever I ran over rough roads and some potholes.Highly recommended especially for those who believe that dedicated bike lights are not the be-all-end-all in cycling.

Too flimsy to be useful
The first time I tried this, I thought, how clever, this simple design, especially being able to angle the light to one side or the other. But, when I hit the first little road bump (yes, this was on road) the two sections of the hard plastic came apart. Fortunately, I had been cautious and used the wrist strap of my light as a safety, so the light just ended up dangling. My rubber pieces didn't break in the one time I used it, contrary to other reviews, but I can see how they might - they aren't that sturdy. It is a difficult balance between tightening them enough to secure the mount, but without them breaking. Just like all aspects of this device, they are just under designed for the job.

Handy!
I've always needed a bike light, but they are so pricey. Then a friend told me about this little device. I used it for the first time last night when dusk snuck up on me while biking. My LED flashlight fit perfectly, thanks to the soft, adjustable straps. It didn't move, even when I hit bumpy terrain. It also arrived incredibly quick! I ordered another from a different company, since this company was out of stock. I'm still waiting, and the expected delivery is month away!

Broke
The frame tube where I had to put it on my bike is larger than the radius of the bracket. It broke shortly after I installed it.But with nothing to lose at that point, I ground the corners out with a Dremel tool and glued the whole thing back together. It no longer can pivot side-to-side. but I only needed a 90 degree angle anyway. It's been working fine like that ever since. For the price and considering my odd application, it's not a bad item. I bought two, since they were so cheap, so I still have a spare. If you're going to use this on handlebars as intended, it will do the job for you.

Cheap-ish construction, un-padded top can scratch
I purchased (two of) this item along with several other products that hold flashlights on bikes. This one has the advantage of a very low profile connector (rubber) band that holds the item to the handlebars, which is also very adjustable. On the other hand, the cradle for the flashlight itself feels flimsy and has hard plastic edges that can easily scratch the light. This appears to limit the types/sizes of flashlights that can fit into the cradle-- actually not super adjustable. I continue to use this on one bike where the space for a better mounting bracket just isn't available, but I don't strongly recommend it.

GREAT PRODUCT/GREAT PRICE
THIS WAS ONE OF THE LEAST EXPENSIVE HOLDERS AVAILABLE, AND FREE SHIPPING TO BOOT. IT IS FINE QUALITY AND DOES THE JOB WELL. I USE IT WITH A 220 LUMEN TERRA LUX LIGHT AND IT WORKS FINE. THE ORDER ALSO ARRIVED WITHIN A FEW DAYS. NO COMPLAINTS-JUST SATISFIED! YOU'LL BE TOO.

Very strong as long as you don't take the swivel apart
Holds flashlight VERY well, and grabs bar very tightly.Warning: do not separate at the swivel, doing so caused my to weaken and break. Fixed with superglue (prevents swivelling). Still use it though!

Great idea, but needs improvement
This item tends to slip on the handlebars and when I tried to secure it tighter, the strap pulled out. I was able to push it back into place, but need to be careful when attaching it to the bike. It is a great idea, but a bit flimsy.

While extremely easy to install, it will turn on rough roads unless Torch is perfectly balanced.
