Crime Lord's Paradise: Crime Lord Series, 4.5

Hmmm...not sure about this one. This book is like an interlude,it tells the story of Gavin and Lyla when they go away for a holiday to Bora Bora,and how they are all still coping with the aftermath of Lyla’s abduction etcNow I’ve loved and raves about this series so far..and have literally now out the books down. I love the alpha male,dominated characters..live the feisty female characters and think the sex scenes are hot. There’s always been an element of extreme dominance and controlling behaviour from Gavin,but for me,this book takes it that step too far. I feel it goes from being dominant to just over the line of serious controlling,obsessive behaviour.The majority of the sex scenes in this book have definite dubious consent,something I’m not a fan of. Having sex with someone in their sleep when they’re not aware of what is happening?..hmm dodgy..forcing someone to have sex cause you’re mad at them,even if she gets turned on and eventually enjoys it...nope,not sexy for me I’m afraid.I love how this book links in to Carmens story(which by the way is the best book in the series so far) and I can’t wait for the next one..but some of the scenes in this one just didn’t sit right with me at all..and I’m not sure are really that necessary tbh.So,read it if you’re into the series and want that link and background story,but be warned..not always comfortable reading IMHO.

I love these characters just hope Mia keeps writing about them Its hard to say goodbye The story just keeps unfolding cannot wait for the next onesGavin and Lyla are great together The chemistry is of the page hot it makes me laugh when she challenges him knowing she's poking the beast and I loveBe it when the beast comes out to play more more more please

Okay, I really did not like this. Like AT. ALL! I have loved every other book in this series and really liked Gavin, even with his possessiveness but this was just on a whole other level. There is a line between possessive and cute, and possessive and creepy, and Gavin is just plain creepy. There is one scene in particular that just made me feel yuck. And I love dark romances and have no triggers but this was just creepy. Really didn't enjoy this 💔

I was so sad when Gavin and Layla 's story ended. So it was a lovely surprise when book 4.5 was released. I simply loved it , getting a chance to see what my favourite characters were getting up to. Thank you so much Mia Night. Please carry on with Gavin and Layla' s story as well as all the other characters.

I was so excited to get another book and it hasn't disappointed!! Gavin is one serious Alfa and the chemistry and action is amazing! I loved seeing some of my fave characters again and I've got to go now so I can do a reread! :D

Omg omg omg I love it! Love this series and am completely hooked. Need more in my life. Mia Knight you have made all other books weak in comparison. I can't find any other books which I enjoy as all I have in mind is the crime lord series!!
