Worked well for 2 seasons
then I let it freeze and it started leaking. But fortunately, it can be disassembled and rebuilt. Because I did not have the right size Allen wrench, I used a bolt instead, see picture. All seals inside are o-rings. The body appears to be aluminum.

Solid 1 year of usage
I've had 3 of these splitters. Two of the 4 splitters and 1 of the 2 splitter. Each lasted me a year, but none failed spectacularly. One year sounds bad, but I've had all brass fittings (other brands) that wasted me a lot of water after shearing from the bib or outlet while I'm gone, or having pin holes right out of the box.I steer clear of brands that aren't easy to turn the knobs on. If I need pliers to turn them then they are worthless. These are very easy to turn and the handles haven't broken even though the one spigot is in the Texas sun a lot. The 2 splitter failed by not turning completely off the one switch I used 95% of the time (practically daily). It would let some amount through, after turning to off position. Both the 4 splitters failed the same way --- the left end gave out during cold snaps. The first time there was likely water in it, the second time (yesterday), maybe with just "left-over" water as the water had been released and spigot turned off. It seems I would need to disconnect and bring inside altogether to maybe preserve them any longer.I don't believe any splitter can survive the cold whether it's all metal or not (physics kicks in). If you are expecting something that a) works out of the box b) lasts a year c) is easy-to-use d) won't fail catastrophically then this is a 5 star product. Good luck to you if you are looking for something better than that. :(

Hit or miss quality
Bought one almost 2 years ago, and it is going strong in my garden. Haven't even pulled it in for winters. Bought a second for a different spot, and it came defective, leaking from the plastic on top near the valve. Feels heavier and seems sturdier than one from a different brand (Melnor) that I had and broke after 1 season, but clearly the quality control is not all there.

Seems to be holding up.
Purchased for the 2 way adapter for my hose so could connect two hoses into one. When i did receive this i first noticed the plastic shut-offs. I cannot see that holding up very well as well they are difficult to open and close. It very well maybe because it's brand new. First off, installing and turning on the water it went everywhere then finding out there was no gasket. Luckily i just used my old one but disappointing because the box was completely sealed when i got it. It's nice to have to have two hoses connected and shutting off one or keep both on, the only complaint i have it the flow of water. When you have both open there is really no flow and basically useless, i did see others on Amazon and read that both can be used at once. Otherwise, it's a decent 2 way valve and seems to be holding up, hopefully for a while.

Same as Orbit, just more expensive
A good solid brass Y valve with two solid shutoff valves with a solid level. Major grip is price. An identical unit in every way other than accent plastic color (Yellow versus gray), as an Orbit Y valve. Just almost double the prices. Has to buy it, as there was only one Orbit unit left. Search for Orbit 56389 Hose Y Shut-Off Valve.
