ACDelco Gold 335-1088 Alternator

Exactly what I was looking for. I have purchased Remanufactured alternators in the past and have not had great success. I did some checking with the local stores and they didn't have anything new under $200. I jumped on Amazon and here it is. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 due to packaging. The box was not stuff enough and allowed the alternator to bounce around in shipping causing the black plastic cover to be cracked. Not a huge deal, as I swapped the damaged cover for the unit on my existing failed unit.

This is an ACDelco Professional brand new alternator that was made in Mexico. The alternator appears to be of good quality so I hope it lasts as long as the original (120K). The original Delphi was still working when I had it replaced, but getting to a mileage where I usually run into alternator problems, so I replaced it as preventative maintenance. The great Amazon price was the incentive, though it took longer (about a month) to receive the item.

The alternator isn't as good as the original but it's cranking out amps. The wires also weren't long enough to reach so we had to improvise. Not anything someone wants to do on electrical parts.
