Good packaging - important, because you're likely only going to be using a small amount and you don't want this spreading around.The sponge/blanket is a consistent uniform depth, easy to cut and retains it's structure during burning.I've switched from dropping in lit matches, which foul the material with carbon deposits to using an arcing electric wand. The cleaner your fuel, the longer the ceramic wool will last.
