why do i receive this product with cancer and reproductive harm warm label on the outside of box?

Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to certain chemicals. The stainless steel in the interior of the vacuum carafe contains nickel. Nickel is an important alloying element in food-grade stainless steel. It provides high anti-corrosive properties to the stainless steel (surgical steel contains nickel). The sticker on the bottom of the outside of the unit contains DBP. Please note that the bottom of the carafe does not come in to direct contact with food or beverage.
