These are by far the most comfortable and versatile that I have found.
I am very pleased with the Black Mountain Variety Pack of Spring-Loaded Thumb Picks! As a guitarist for over 20 years, I’ve tried various thumb picks. These are by far the most comfortable and versatile that I have found. The variety pack offers an excellent range of sizes and tensions, making it easy to find the perfect pick for my playing style. The spring-loaded design is key, ensuring a secure fit without being too tight, and the picks stay comfortably in place during long playing sessions. I no longer have to worry about my thumb pick slipping or adjusting mid-song, which is such a relief. The added flexibility also gives me better control and a more natural feel when picking. The quality is top-notch. These thumb picks are durable and made from premium materials, so I know they’ll hold up even with frequent use. The different sizes and tensions in the variety pack allow for customization based on the music I’m playing, whether I need a light touch for delicate strumming or more pressure for a heavier picking style. The comfort and performance of these picks have really helped improve my overall playing experience. I highly recommend them to any guitarist—whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, these picks will enhance your playing and offer lasting comfort.

Easy route to hybrid picking!
These are great picks. I've been wanting to do hybrid picking, since I play a lot of chord-melody fingerstyle but also want to play with a pick. I've tried to learn the "hide-the-pick" trick but I'm just not coordinated enough (or haven't spent hours and hours practicing.) And I keep trying to learn hybrid picking, but holding the pick and using my other two fingers always makes my hand feel too cramped, and not loose and open as I want it when playing fingerstyle. These picks make just plain nice picks that I'm less likely to drop, when using as a normal pick. It sits just on my thumb where I normally hold it. But I can let go with my first finger and do fingerpicking! I still need a lot of practice to get where I want to be (which is always the case) but I'm finally feeling like practice helps and I'm not just beating my head against the wall. These are also more comfortable and secure than any thumbpicks I've had over the years.Get this variety pack to find which one is right for you, and then give the others away!

This will take (me) awhile
Its a great idea, for me its awkward to use, but better than a regular thumb pick. These are more comfortable. I probably won't use them much.

A total game-changer!
Wow, these Black Mountain thumb picks are a total game-changer! They’re super comfortable—no pinching or sliding, and the spring mechanism feels just right. I love how they work for both strumming and picking. The thinner rounded ones are perfect for a smooth, folky sound, and the thicker, pointed ones really dig in for rock and lead playing. Honestly, I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect thumb pick, and these are it. Highly recommend grabbing a variety pack to see which one fits your style best—you won’t be disappointed!

OK, THESE ARE FIRE.
I have a nerve issue in my elbow which severely limits my playing, but even in the short time I've been able to check these out I have still been completely won over.I've had issues with thumb picks in the past. Typically, I'm using them in the context of a Travis picking, claw and/or Carter Scratch technique. I don't like using finger picks and use a combination of the thumb pick with my fingertips/nails. In most cases, thumb picks are too long for my approach. I've had some success with filing down thumb picks, but the drawback is that I'm married to that technique for that song, or have to switch picks mid-song, which isn't optimal. I can somewhat strum using my fingers, but it's not the same as using a regular pick. These actually give me the ability to use my finger picking techniques as well as your standard alternate picking, flat picking, strumming, and so forth...AND I CAN SWITCH BETWEEN THEM INSTANTANEOUSLY!Sure, it probably costs 20 cents to manufacture, but it works!

Not tight enough for me
I'm not terribly happy with these, I prefer a tighter fit on my thumb, the spring tension doesn't quite cut it. Also, the variety is generally too thin for me.
