Buy this. Seriously.
This system works and works well. NOTE: If you have an ATPro you will have to buy an adapter to go from the regular jack to the ATPro jack, but other than that all that you need is there. Here is the one I use AT Pro Headphone Adapter The signal response is as fast as your machine, pinpointing is as accurate as ever. I have run it for at least 10 hours between charges, I only recharged last time to be sure they didn't die at a competition hunt and haven't charged them since. That was about 10 hours ago. Not having the headphone coil slapping around during a competition hunt was great! I used a Teknetics T2 for that hunt and it can respond as fast as I can swing. I used the Z-Lynk on the ATPro and had the same results, no lag and perfect pinpointing (I dont use the pinpointer on the machine, I use the coil "wiggle" method). I would buy another if I needed it. I am impressed. I have been metal detecting 25 years (at least) and have been wanting wireless headphones forever. Now if they make them waterproof I will be even more impressed.I clip the receiver for the headphones to the back of my ball cap and the cord on the Garret Master sound headphones doubles over and is out of the way. It does not quite reach my shoulder and doesn't bother me at all. I wouldn't alter the headphone cord to be shorter since if the batteries die or something else happens I can just plug the headphones in the normal way and continue to hunt.I probably have 25-30 hours on them now and so far, so good.

Works with the Minelab Safari
Works great with the Minelab Safari. I had to use velcro hook and loop to attach it to the arm. That works great. The arm on the Safari is thicker than what the large o-ring allows for attaching to the shaft on the detector. I am sure I could have gone to the hardware store to get a larger o-ring but I already had velcro on hand. I prefer velcro over stretching a rubber o-ring around the shaft anyway. The 1/4 inch jack of the Safari is at the back end of the handle and the cord supplied does not reach to the shaft in front of the unit head. Attaching on the arm and out of the way works great. I use Killer-B headphones and plenty of clear tone volume from both sides. Easy pairing and stays paired after turning off and back on. It took about 5 hours for the initial battery charge as in the instruction manual. Easy clear instruction book was included. It is nice to set the detector down to dig and not have to remove the headphones from my head. The receiver attaches to the belt and hardly know the coiled headphone cord is there. This is still worth a 5 Star.

So far, so good!
Works very well so far on testing in the house. The only problem so far is that the charging light on the transmitter (WT-1) will not go out, while the receiver (WR-1) went out after charging for about 4 1/2 hours, which is what should happen. I called Garrett, and the guy I talked to wasn't too concerned about. Hopefully WT-1 will last, I will find out while on my week long detecting trip at the beach. It will be very nice not being tethered to the machine, as well as being able to use lighter headphones.

I like it. earbuds don’t seem to work very well though.
I like it. using on an AT Pro. my iphone earbuds don’t seem to work very well. My kids cheap 10 dollar headphones sounded way better. no delay as advertised. It’s an incredible feeling to not be tied to my machine anymore. Especially when kneeling on the ground digging a hole. not having to remove my headphones removes a major hassle while detecting.

Compact and easy to use with GREAT customer support
I really like that the transmitter and receiver are small. I especially like that I can keep using the same headphones that I have always used. High Plains Prospectors are top notch when it comes to customer support!

Great addition to my Garrett ATPro detector
Great addition to my Garrett ATPro detector! As advertised, it has a near instantaneous response. With a 1/4 to 1/8 headphone jack you can use your earbuds. On those hot summer days it will be nice to not have to wear those hot and clunky headphones! The only drawback is that you'll have to purchase the 2-pin cable to use this on the AT Pro, Gold, Sea Hunter, Infinium, and ATX. If your detector has a standard 1/4 inch headphone jack you shouldn't need anything else.

Working as advertised!
Very happy with purchase. I saw some bad reviews about the units not charging correctly, or the charging light not going off. Also saw reviews about the units shutting off after using for 30 minutes. Glad to say that I feel I received a good z-Lynk! All is working as advertised. I am using the Z-link with my Garrett AT Pro metal detector. I am also using Garretts 1/4" female adapter cable. You will need headphones with 1/4" male plug for Z-lynk to work.
