DGT1002 With Bonus Time

Super light. Easy to operate. High quality (real deal DGT chess clock). Perfect size. Obviously a step up from the 1001. Nice, elegant brown color. I like it more than the black. If I had the money I'd go for the 3000 limited edition, but I'm on a budget and this meets my needs! Solid chess clock. Average price. Not too pricey, not too cheap. Runs for a long time on a single battery. Really does not need a reset button. Just turn off and back on. One less button to clutter up your clock. Minimalism!

I'm not too good at chess, but this has been a fun purchase and it seems like it will last. As a beginner, I'm not sure what else you could ask for. Build quality is good - it's lightweight (all plastic), but the buttons are satisfying nonetheless. It's no ThinkPad, but for this price you can't go wrong.

Easy, intuitive, small footprint, light. Buttons have a satisfying click. Got this as an alternative to the DGT North America model and loved it out of the box. Time controls range in 30- and 60-second increments only.I suspect the buttons will wear out faster than a lever or capacitative sensors, but low cost is key when you’re carrying it to the bar.One club member laments that it does not have time odds.Oh also the color is ugly but who cares.

This clock is perfect for blitz, but tournament players should be aware that this unit supports bonus time only, not delay. Since most chess tournaments use a delay time control I would recommend the more versatile North American DGT clock.
